New England, ND (Kfyr/Gray News) – According to the authorities, a few men in North Dakota are charged when a student shines on fire.
The school administrators informed the sheriff department of the Hettinger County of the Sheriff of the situation after a video was circulated by a student who was lit during the New Year.
The Sheriff's report states that the incident took place on New Year's Eve of 2024 or on New Year's Day of 2025.
The investigators identified the two from a video in which 18-year-old Jaren Rafferty set the victim on fire while someone else pointed to the victim.
The law enforcement agencies voted the video with a handicraft from Daniel Dewall by the 18-year-old hand tattoo.
Officials arrested Dewall last week and Rafferty last month.

The MPs say Rafferty told them that the fire was an accident and that they used braking fluid and a lighter while drinking alcohol.
Both men are charged with severe bodily harm and danger from fire.
The MPs report that the victim, who is a minor, is recovering.
They say about 27% of his body have been burned, including second -degree burns.
The MPs say the victim told them that he is “good” and that the injuries on his back are still wrapped in bandages.
The preliminary hearing for Dewall and Rafferty is planned for March 6th.
