Bobby Berk is an expert in interior design and beyond his stay beyond “Queer Eye” two books on this topic and continues to share his specialist knowledge. Fortunately, one of the places where he shares his hacks is on Tiktok, where the rest of us can benefit from an experienced interior designer in our pocket.
Here are three of the hacks that Berk recently posted, which not only repair small (still noticeable) things around the house, but are also low efforts and low costs.
Smart plugs
Everyone wants a chic smart house, but all the different upgrades and cabling can be expensive and up -to -date. Berks suggestion: install smart plugs.
These are small load cubes -like blocks that can be connected to any outlet and offer you an outlet. The only difference is that this little middleman can be removed depending on the model. Say goodbye to the climb to ever turn off the light, television or really everything.

Painting syringe
As soon as I saw this, I thought: “How have I never thought about it?” This extremely low hack uses a syringe to fill an empty paint tube. Then simply use the color in the newly filled color pen to cover bumps and scratches on the wall. This is a simple hack for people who have replacement cans in the garage and want their walls to look as crispy as on the day they were painted for the first time.
Lack formula saver
If you have no replacement cans, always save the formula when choosing a new color color. In this way you can always let it formulate it when you need it again. (Not to mention color just runs after a while.)
Affordable lanterns
In this video, Berk goes to Chinatown in LA to get some affordable lighting options. (These are actually the same lighting functions that are also used in the smart plug video.) He picks up a few flat paper lanterns, which at first glance do not really appear like a big matter. However, we can see that this lighting option makes the difference for every room.
If you are stuck with skylight or just want a change in the pace, try your local dollar business or Chinatown -equivalent to see whether you can achieve some understatus but differently.
