British design has long been something that we have happily accepted in the states-there is something that is so warm and inviting about the stylish but cozy rooms that designers in the UK have a knack for the creation. The London Design Week introduced us to a number of British design trends that will continue to make waves for the rest of the 2025, and here we highlight some of our favorites that are excited about professional designers (all this summer to London Wow! House Showhouse). Don't be afraid to implement any (or everything!) In your home in the coming months.
Not a Matchy-Matchy

Gone are the days of perfectly coordinated rooms, and designers are not against this development. “There is a noticeable shift to absorb asymmetry indoors, which enables more creative expression and unexpected design moments,” says Kelly Hoppen, founder of Kelly Hoppen Interiors.
The concept of not being suitable Matchy-Matchy is something that Rupert Cunningham, director at Ben Pentrean Studio, associated with “The Best English Country House Interiors”. In these houses, he explains: “Over time, the rooms have developed through a subtle process of accretion and subtraction, since successive generations leave their stamp on a room.” However, he explains: “The sum of the changes does not undermine the spirit of the original.”
Super layered rooms

The more layers in a room, the better. “Layering brings depth and character into every room and creates a harmonious but dynamic environment,” says Ailsa Connery, designer and regional director of Europe for 1508 London.
The classic English country look is an example of layers from the best, says Emma Sims-Hilditch, founder and creative director of Sims Hilditch. “The more pattern, color and mixtures adapt, the better,” she says. “I am very pleased that this timeless trend continues to thrive because it enables you to develop organically, whereby every inmate contributes its own story through antiques and carefully selected pieces.”
Daniel Slovik, the founder of Daniel Slovik LTD, shares similar feelings. “Very often there are several iterations when things are bought and added,” he says. “It is a very gratifying, organic and collaborative process to create a beautiful room.”
Hoppen adds that the lighting plays an important role in really bringing a layered space to life. “It improves the depth, brings shape and shape and creates subtle considerations to hard surfaces – what I” call wink of highlights “call”, she says. “It is exciting to see that lighting is more likely to be an integral design element than functional.”
No color deficiency

British interior design and colorful rooms go hand in hand – the decoration exclusively with neutral! “Color is an essential tool for the design of atmosphere, narrative and emotions in the room,” says Brigitta friend, founder and creative director of Spinocchia Freund. The exact application on which you land is entirely with you – maybe this means painting your ceiling (which designers often call the “fifth wall” of a room) a peppy hue or a chopping shade or the coating of your kitchen cupboards with a rich green or marine lugs.
The pattern continues to find the houses, especially in the form of wallpaper. “There was a time ago not too long when everything was withdrawn a bit, and I think it may be a bit of a rebellion against it,” says Darren Smith, design director of Adam Architecture. “People are a bit boring from this excessive familiar, simple background.”
Many leafy vegetables and botanical

Vermure-inspired prints have been an integral part of the classic design for centuries and stay here, while the plants continue to find wall coverings, soft goods and much more. As Connery says: “Blatt green remain a strong influence on the design and offer soft, fresh tones that help to cultivate a peaceful retreat and to celebrate a deep connection to nature.”
Hang an antique earnings behind your bed or your sofa or save with botanically printed pillows or throws. Another way to accept this trend is of course to weave into the house in the actual green – even in small doses. As the planter and garden designer Alexander Hoyle says: “Who doesn't love plants? We find that they soften everything and bring the necessary life into a room … offer a splash color or interest.”
