Updating or renovating a kitchen is an important process. After all, we spend a lot of time in our kitchen and are also one of the most expensive rooms (if not The most expensive). These costs include important devices such as your refrigerator, your oven, your dishwasher, your hood. These work horses have a big impact on how our kitchens work and what they look like. You have the magical strength that your kitchen looks super slim and chic or is somehow outdated. So if you prepare for updating your devices or asking yourself why your kitchen doesn't look quite right, there are five things that are considered interior designers. If you like the retro look, don't let these recommendations stop!
White finish
Everyone loves a white kitchen, but stay away from the shadow when it comes to selecting their next refrigerator, their oven and any other device. “White devices (unless they make a super-abstained retro or Scandinavian look) can scream in the early 2000s,” says interior designer Ilana Rostad. It recommends going with matt black, brushed stainless steel or panel-ready devices.
Microwave combinations
“Microwave/oven combos dating kitchens,” says designer Cyndy Cantley. The areas take up less space and can help with the symmetry of your kitchen. And while we deal with the topic of microwaves, avoid adding a hood to an engine. “Hoods are their focus and a microwave has nothing attractive,” she says.
The latest color trend
Large devices have an important price, so the interior designer Sasha Basso from Capiz Studio likes to stick to neutral. “As much as I love a good design trend, kitchen appliances are actually one of the places where I stayed away from them,” she says. “You cannot stop a refrigerator or a stove.
Techy Control Panels
Getting devices that have the latest technology is an intelligent step, but they do not necessarily want to present futuristic controllers or screens throughout the device because this technology can change quickly. “Remember how often you update your phone or laptop: A refrigerator with a solid touchscreen can be the hot new thing for a year or two, but as soon as the latest technology quickly puts it in the shade, you are stuck with a refrigerator that feels out of date,” says Basso. “And it is much more difficult to update your refrigerator than your phone!”
Outside ice maker
Newer models have installed these functions on the inside so that you can still have your filtered water and ice cream, but it doesn't have to be the most important display function. Who really wants this bulky, box -shaped donor to break up a slim -looking stainless steel door? These donors can also show a lot of wear and look older than it is.
