If the weather heats up, this is the ideal opportunity for ant colonies to optimally use the conditions.
Although it is tiny, such pests are more active in the summer months to collect and store food for their colony – and often cause chaos.
And if you have discovered large ants hills that ruined your lawn or farm, this can be a gardener's nightmare. These floor hills not only look unsightly, but can also challenge their lawn care regimes, especially if they have already entered the room.
Fortunately, there are some simple ways to get rid of ant hill and prevent them from taking over their garden.
In addition, these do not take time at all and do not require toxic chemicals (or a Bloodtorch!).

1. Flood
As the name suggests, this simply includes placing your water hose near an ant hill and letting it run for at least 3-5 minutes until the water begins to pack.
Essentially, the flood method should cause the Ameis tunnel to collapse, which makes it more difficult for ants to return. Remember that you may have to carry this method several times on larger hills so that it is effective.
2. Water boiling
Another simple method is to pour the boiling water directly over the ants. This should immediately collapse the hills, kill existing colonies and are more effective for smaller ant hills.
Here, too, you may have to do this several times to be effective once a week to prevent further colonies.
Just make sure that you do not water hot water near plants or seedlings, as this kills every new growth.
3. Shifting soap and water
In a similar way, you can create a DIY bowl -so -tie solution to kill ant colonies and prevent hills. Simply mix a splash of shoring soap with boiling water and slowly pour the solution directly into ant hill.
The shoring soap causes the protective outer skin/layer of the ants, which leads to dehydration and death.
4. Baking powder and vinegar
These two basic food ingredients can often be found in our kitchen pieces.
And while we all know how baking powder and white vinegar are good for cleaning, they can also make an effective ants.
You can simply pour it directly ont the ants hill to kill ants, or combine it with baking powder to lock the ame tunnel and prevent infestation.
Remember again not to use vinegar near plants because this will kill new growth.
5. Kieselgur earth
In view of its name, Disectomacous Earth (DE) is not the earth or even the soil.
It is a powder with foods that consists of tiny fragments of petrified sea organisms, which makes it completely natural and organic origin.
In addition, Gärtner swear by DE as great pest control in the garden and can be sprinkled directly on ants.
This is also ideal for getting rid of snails or other pests that can eat and damage plants and vegetables.
