Jenny Marrs' Kitchen Design Preference Freecing Counter Space
The renovation of Dave and Jenny Marrs for the 6 -season -6 sequence of “Fixer to fabulous” was so impressive. The fans in particular loved the kitchen room, which was warm and inviting.
In her Instagram stories on January 29, Marrs invited the fans to result in questions. A spectator with eagle eyes wondered why the kitchen renovation had no microwave.
There is a good reason for this, it turns out.
“I noticed that the microwave was missing in the renovated kitchen,” said a fan. “Did you put one in?”
There is indeed a microwave – it is only hidden out of sight.
“Yes! It is hidden behind the cabinet doors next to the fridge!” Marrs revealed. “I always try to hide a microwave behind doors when I can.”
The HGTV star added: “Less devices visible and more cupboards are always my preference.” There is also the counter room!

The fans were also interested in the other design details in the kitchen – like these perfect neutral cabinet and wall colors: Farrow & Ball Drop -fabric (cupboards) and Benjamin Moore Simply White (walls).
Marrs gave the complete overview of the home renovation project on her website before and after photos that show the amazing turnaround.
“The kitchen already had a great open floor plan, but needed some updates to bring them to life,” she said in her blog post.
“The original plan was to keep the existing lower cupboards and only change the cabinet doors. This is a good way to save money and time, ”noticed Marrs. “But thanks to Chris, our talented cabinet manufacturer, it was a complete transformation. He went far beyond that, Brand new cupboards made in his workshop in Arkansas and brought them in on the day of the build. “
The HGTV star pointed out that new devices, quartz workstations, new lighting and fresh color were also part of the revision.
The renovation was a love work for a well -deserved St. Jude family who had gone through so much. In 24 hours, the Marrs family and a team of volunteers enabled the project.
“It was absolutely incredible to see how over 150 volunteers get together to make this dream reality,” wrote Marrs. “Everyone gave their time and talent from electricians to roofers to bring these rooms to life.”
She added: “What is more, this 100 km renovation was fully financed by donations -from furniture to the smallest details such as gutters.”
