The Long County Blue Tide Baseball team kept their home record clean when they had organized the Mcintosh County Academy Buccaners on Monday, February 17th. After dropping against Bacon County against Bacon County on Valentine's Day, the tide dominated the Buccaneers with 11-0 in five innings.
The game started on both sides of the diamond for the flood well when Kenny Pickens recorded a strikeout and received a balance at the second basis to keep the Buccaneers off the board.
Three doubles opened the bottom of the inning when Creighton Rogers drove up and scored on Nick Sizemores doubles before Picke brought him home to score the score with 2-0.
Anthony Bramwell brought another run home with a single before Braedon Chambless scored the result 4-0 with a double.
Jehmiel Pettis was run and finally met the third steel after he got the third steel and climbed home. The flood led 5-0 in the second when picke went a dough, but took three strikeouts.
In the third Pickens struck two other Buccaners, while Chambless made a great game behind the plate to first receive a collection.
Rogers brought Pettis home on a single in the lower edge of the third and later met a hand handed over to achieve the score with 7: 0 in the fourth.
Peyton Pilon took over the hill for pickens and allowed three goals, but the Tide defense kept hard and got out of the inning without runs on the board.
Bramwell opened the inning with a double before Pilon brought him home with his own double. Pettis went and Dylan Lester scored the score 9-0.
Luke Poppell followed this single with its own double, which made the score 10: 0. He later scored a dough when the tide led 11-0 into the last inning.
Pettis came to the hill to complete the game, and he threw two strikeouts to seal the game when the flood changed to 2-1 in the season.
The flood will now host the Tattnall County Warriors on Thursday, February 20. At the time of the press, the Warriors were with a defeat of 14: 4 against ECI and 12: 6 against Vidalia, but a 15-0 victory against Claxton and another Matchup with the Tigers on Tuesday.
