I am a mother who beats the winter blues and achieves my daily level by using a sub-desk treadmill

As a mother, I am constantly multitasking, regardless of whether I work, keep the homework up to date or to be committed to a toddler. Sometimes this also applies to my training, which can take up the back seat in the colder months. I generally like to run and go as my point of contact from Cardio, but I'm not the greatest fan of time outdoors to spend too long when the temperature hits below 40 degrees. I decided to do something this year that made my goal of staying with my step without having to include a lot of space in my house. I was interested in trying out under the desk treads, so I received samples from Egof and cost road for testing.

I put one in my living room and the others in my bedroom, so it had an increased chance that I used it. Each treadmill came in a densely packed box, which was easy to release and set up. I keep my plug to avoid that my son is accidentally injured. What makes a under-desk treadmill comfortable is that you can place it almost anywhere, and it doesn't take up much space. In some cases you can even keep it under your couch or bed.

I also underestimated how quickly these treadmills can go. I assumed that the under-desk treadmill is covered with three miles per hour, but the treadmills I tested can go up to five miles (egofit) or six miles per hour (cost road). This is a jogging or running pace for some people. So there is something to consider if you plan to own one.

Although I did not set up a proper ergonomic desk for a sub-desk treadmill during work, I was able to use it myself while I answered emails on my phone and listened to a podcast. I enjoyed taking a few steps and working something at the same time. I felt particularly productive and could do all of this without leaving my home.

On the days when I did not go to the gym or when I had my free time, I wanted to climb the T-faskish treadmill at least half an hour. I tend to run at a quick pace-I think that's the New Yorker in me, which the walk on a tread mill under the desk felt more like a power walk than a leisurely walk. If I had used a treadmill when I worked on my laptop, I would have sure that I would have reduced the speed to reach that of a more casual walk.

Although there are many different Unter-Desk treads to choose from, I can only share my thoughts about the two that I could try out. Below you will find a brief overview of any under-desk treadmill for which it is best and what you can expect.

How

  • Padded landing

  • Small profile

  • Smooth belt

Do not like

  • Short profile belt

  • Design could be more stylish

  • Quick speed without support

The EGOFIT Comfortdesk-M2-underdesk treadmill is considered a mini-below desk treadmill, which may be important if they are limited in space. I just found it to set it up as soon as you got it out of the box, and it has bikes in front so it is easy to move it. The profile belt is smooth and not too loud when it is switched on, and has a comfort cushion that offers a soft landing and the knee is simple. It is delivered with a remote control with which you can increase, reduce the speed or stop the machine.

The digital LED screen is located on the front base of the treadmill and recorded: speed, steps, time, distance and calories that were burned during a session. One thing that I noticed that the profile is shorter for some people. So if you are big and have a longer step, you can feel that you slip off. I am short and had a few cases in which I had to be aware of how long I was doing.

I would not recommend trying to jog on a treadmill like this, even if you could because it could be risky and there is nothing that you can approach when you lose your foot. If you are someone who has compensation problems, I would avoid the tread mill under the desk because you can expose the risk of falling. However, this can be a suitable option if you are looking for a treadmill that you can use for a leisure walk while you receive calls or do work. It also has a fixed inclination of 5%, if this is important to you, it is more difficult because it feels like you are going uphill.

How

  • Aesthetically would look good in an office or living room

  • Ideal for larger people

Do not like

  • Belt is not smooth

  • Abrupt stop is not ideal when stopping

  • Belts squeak loudly when they are used

Aesthetically, the Kostbahn treadmill looks nicer and would fit in well in a home office, but the quality was not my favorite. In contrast to the egofit treadmill, the cost stage is flat with wood paneling around the border. It also has wheels in front and an LED screen that is burned, calories burned, time and distance. It is delivered with a remote control so that you can control the speed of the treadmill.

The first thing I watched was that the profile belt is longer, which is more ideal for someone who is larger. One disadvantage is that this treadmill is much louder than I would prefer if it is used. It squeaks and sounds as if it has to be lubricated (a form of maintenance if you have a treadmill). I also thought I would fly from it because the lowest speeds feel faster than you would expect. The belt itself is also not the smoothest, which caused me to feel less comfortable with it. Compared to the egofit, it was lacking in the upholstery, so I would not rely on long walks.

What shocked me was that this treadmill runs up to 6 miles per hour, which I personally considered a frozen mill under the desk to be quick. I would not feel comfortable if I increased the speed of the cost route unless I lubricated the belt and improved the feeling. However, I still think that it is risky because when I stopped this treadmill, it stops abruptly, even if it reduces the speed and you have to keep yourself. This treadmill can work if you plan to keep it at the lowest speed (1 mile per hour) with a constant desk for additional support.

Is it worth buying a Unter-Desk treadmill?

From speaking refrigerators to iPhones are our experts here to make the world a little less complicated.

If you want to creep in a few steps and movements at home, a Unter-Desk treadmill is not a bad option. It is helpful if you don't have the time to go outside or go to the gym regularly. These also take less space than a standard treadmill and can often be stored under a couch or bed. However, if you are someone with compensation problems, I would rethink you to buy one because it has no support and can be a risk of falling. If you want to get more out of your treadmill, I would recommend investing in a large size. I would also look up reviews.
