Smart Home technology into this redesigned house of JPAV with interior of Steph Hill Designs and Devereux designs is an intelligent approach for a time with real estate liabilities.

The renovation of a property is always a challenge, but if this property is listed and the homeowner maintains traditional aesthetics and at the same time ensures that space is suitable for a modern life, the task is of course even greater.

This was the case in a recently from Home Technology Specialist JPAV, in which the owners of a Georgian town house in fashionable Chelsea carried out a likeable renovation, which also includes a whole series of discrete technology. JPAV worked closely with the customer and the two interior design studios, which for the project, Steph Hill Designs and Devereux design, to ensure that the Smart -Home system grants all the requirements for the lifestyle and meet the aesthetic challenges of the project.

James Shorter from JPAV explains: “The owners knew that they wanted the technology to have home automation, but they didn't want to see it. They wanted to keep the style as classic as possible, and there were listed areas that made it quite difficult. We had to think outside the box in a number of areas, and both we and the homeowners are happy about the result. “

While discrete technology was a must, the user -friendliness was also high in the priority list, and since the customer was familiar with the Control4 platform, it was an easy decision to contact the Snap One brand again in order to get a reliable and intuitive experience.

James adds: “Control4 processes pretty much everything in the house and integrates audio, lighting, television, heating and security control on a seamless platform. The family loves the advantage of controlling things anywhere. If you forget to do something, you can simply log in to your phone, switch on the heating when you arrive at a goal, adapt the lighting plans or whatever. They also love that you can have several properties on a Control4 app so that you do not have to use different apps for different properties and technologies. “

The Ca-10 Automation Controller from Control4 is the focus of the Chelsea Townhouse system and offers reliability, flexibility and built-in OVRC long-distance management for improved error correction. The Core 5 now manages the wide range of devices in the entire property and creates personalized automated experiences for the family. This includes a vacation mode that imitates the family who is at home when they travel. In addition to the app, the Halo Remote and T4 touchscreens from Control4 prove a popular interface for the customer and offer simple, customizable control and slim, inconspicuous designs.

“The family loves the new Halo remote controls,” says James. “You also have touch panels mounted on the wall in important places on every floor with flush housing, so you look fantastic.”

The customer, who had a high -quality audio system throughout the house, was also clear that he wanted to minimize the effects on the interior and maintain the clean aesthetics of the property. This led to the decision to install invisible loudspeakers together with architectural speakers from Snap One Brand, Triad, in the guest rooms. Additional loudspeakers are on the roof terrace to offer the right ambience for the fresh air and social meetings.

Safety was also a consideration of this project and a Luma X20 CCTV system from Snap One is in operation. AI-powered human and vehicle-related recognition, automatic video flow configuration in Control4 and extended camera views ensure the homeowner the security, while controlling Control4 DS2 doors, video monks, motion detection and HD video offers and at the same time ensures easy access for expected visitors.

In the installation, it is also of central importance for the Wattbox current management, whereby Wattbox Power Distribution Units (PDUS) controls and monitors the system. He continues: “It is great to open OVRC and be able to restart boxes. It is a stroke of luck to restart devices from a distance. “This topic of centralized management continues with the addition of Araknis Wi-Fi 6 access points, which brings the project higher network capacity and increased reliability.
