Milan – Currey & Company has teamed up with a British light company and shows this week at Euroluce in Milan.
The company has teamed up with the Elstead Lighting Group based in Great Britain, which creates and distributed decorative lighting. Currey is provided by Elstead's luxury brand Quintie, Quintesse, with exhibition rooms in Great Britain, Poland and soon Dubai, lighting designs for the luxury brand of Elstead, Quintesse.
The partnership, which is expanded by Currey's reach in Great Britain, Europe and the Middle East, will debut this week in Euroluce, the international lighting show in Milan, Italy. It will be in Hall 4, Stand C33.
The lighting will also be shown at shows this year in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Warsaw and Dubai, a spokesman for Currey said.
Elstead Lighting is headed by Managing Director Jonathan Lucas, the son and nephew of the former family owners. The company has a rich history and was originally known as the Elstead Forge, which was founded in 1686, where it mainly produced iron and general Ironwork in tiny Hamlet Elstead, Surrey, England.
“If there was an opportunity to work with the team and the brand that Currey & Company had built up, we couldn't have been more enthusiastic. The new collection embodies a brand in which every product has thought with care and details,” said Lucas.
Currey President Brownlee Currey said: “It is a rare day when you hit a specific person with whom you have led a parallel life, but in another place. That's exactly what I felt with Jonathan and Deborah and visited their headquarters in Hampshire.
Currey was founded 37 years ago by Brownlee Currey's parents Robert and Suzy Currey. It is based in Atlanta and has exhibition rooms in Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas and High Point, NC
