With a new generation, new taste comes in everything, from fashion to interior design. Generation Z is already bothering the real estate market and brings your input taste. With around 18 million home owners in the United States in the United States, there is a new wave of influencing homes.
“Gen Z has really redefined the home design with a fresh, creative approach that distinguishes it from older generations,” says Audrey Scheck, main designer at Audrey Check Design. It can be difficult to recognize the difference between trends that fade in a few years and timeless design that you can be proud of. In fact, it can be particularly stressful to make your home to Trendy. As long as you feel authentic in your room, you generally cannot do anything wrong. In the following, three experts designers reveal the design features that gen ZS caught heart. The chances are good that you also want to add them to your own home.
Everything bent

From the frills that take over the bedroom, until the revival of curved sofas, z Home Design is filled with rounded furniture. Each generation can find something about this style to love, but Z particularly likes its bizarre nature and takes on many oval and wavy shapes.
“The rounded silhouette looks both chic and playful and at the same time offers additional comfort because it feels as if they are hugged,” says Olma Fuentes, founder and main designer from Deni + Dove Interiors. “While it nods on other established design styles – namely modern and Scandinavian mid -century, the well -groomed furniture and decoration still keep a bizarre attraction that feels fresh and modern.”
Neutral colors

It is easy to combine generation Z with love for bright colors and versatile decor, but surprisingly, the latest generation of homeowners has love for neutral. The colors create an empty canvas to build on, and it is more adaptable to the changing taste over time.
“Neutral are an aesthetics to which Gen Z is very connected,” says Jennifer Jones, main designer at niche interior. “Ivory, beige, beige, almond, tan: You call a warm neutral, you are everywhere.
Playful design

A design feature that distinguishes Generation Z is the willingness to be bizarre. Scheck says they love to infuse their designs with personality, “in a way that older generations often shy away from.”
“While previous generations prefer traditional forms, textures and colors, Z shakes things on,” says Scheck. “We see an increase in playful forms, timeless patterns and brave color decisions. This generation brings character back into home design and bravely makes rooms that really reflect your individuality.”

Jones has noticed an increased love for low furniture that invites you to relax, from tuber sensors and platform beds to coffee tables with a low search. “Think that Groovy meets Beach Boho 1970s,” says Jones.

If gen z cannot find the furniture or decor that fit your point of view, you can quickly make it.
“Gen z approaches DIY projects with fearlessness, and I am always amazed at their creativity and ingenuity,” says Scheck. “Regardless of whether it is tailor -made installations, apply wallpaper or restore furniture, they never hesitate to roll up and immerse yourself in the sleeves.”
Curated art

Gone are the posters and word art plans of a thousand -year -old first apartments. Gen ZS approach to wall art is clever and curated. They quickly scan marketplaces such as minted and Etsy and find original works of art that feels nice.
“Gallery stands are particularly popular because they create a unique focus and offer the opportunity to mingle different art forms and styles seamlessly,” says Fuentes. “With regard to aesthetics, abstract expressionism and brave graphic designs are two outstanding options in the gene quantity.”
Light forests

Gen Z loves light forests in their furniture, floors and cupboards in the same airy and relaxing vein. It is a bit more modern than mahogany or walnut facilities feel. “Light forests such as oak and maple are preferred in a creamy color tones over medium to darker forests as well as natural materials such as marble and travertine,” says Jones. “In most cases, Z falls hard for the light and airy look.”

“They have an incredible talent for curating rooms with second -hand treasures, which often contain vintage and antique furniture that give character and charm into their houses,” says Scheck. “No matter whether it is repeated vintage drinks for ancient wooden cabiners made of wood, I am always inspired by how this generation breathes new life in old pieces.”
Organic materials

Just as gene loves to calm neutral colors, organic furniture is very much in demand. Abstract forms are reminiscent of elements found in nature, from living wooden tables to sculptural vases. “Gen Zers are deeply passionate about well -being, and their design decisions reflect the desire to promote environments that are both soothing and restorative,” says Fuentes. “Natural materials such as stone, plaster, jute and walnut are very trendy because they trigger feelings of calm.”
