Branch did something clever. The company based in New York has concentrated its creative minds in terms of office chairs and only offers three ergonomic options. Three ergonomic, beautifully designed chairs at three different prices. And everyone is excellent.
There is the most expensive and most beautiful, the verve. Then there is the best middle chair I have ever used, the ergonomic chair Pro. Both are currently in my list of the best office chairs for back pain.
Then there is the ergonomic chair. It is your chair the lowest prize winner but is it as good as its larger brothers? And with 359 US dollars/389 US dollars in retail, is it easier in my guide to the best budget chairs? Let us go into it.
Design & aesthetics
The ergonomic chair looks a little more expensive – and more adjustable – ergonomic chair Pro very similar. This is available in five colors (currently with two additional limited editions). I chose the pebble color (gray) and it looks slim and inviting. In combination with the soft contours of the seat and the armrest and the back, it is indeed a pretty thing. And these good looks lead to great design. Almost (more on this below).
With its network back and its seat and the white (or black) frame that runs the back, there is definitely a bit of retro look on the Ergo chair. Add a horizontal strip through the rear network, and the Ergo chair gives me Gameboy-Gray-Vibes-and I love it.
However, the design is nothing old. Although it does not have the clever color of color that the other two branches do (the basic legs and arms that have the same color as the seat and back), it is still a chic chair.
The only problem I have with the design of this chair is how far the arm is rested. Although you can move the entire arms further and closer (just like with the Ergo chair Pro), and I really like this function that when I put my arms as close to me as possible, both elbows still could not rest comfortably on them and the one and the other hovered.
Now I have searched online to see if other users have experienced this, and so far it only seems to be me. So there is the possibility that I have either put it on or somehow shrunk. If I compare both ergo chairs, I can see that the seat is deeper than the standard chair, but it is not mentioned that the professional is narrower than this chair. However, this one adjustable 3-way arm rests, while the professional has 8-way adjustable breaks, so that I could maybe bring the pro arms closer to myself, where I am not with the chair with the chair. In any case, it was the only design error I found and I was just able to pull my arms out a little, but that brought me into a suboptimal position.
ergonomics
For a chair that is sold for the black model for 349 US dollars and 389 US dollars for all other chic colors (including my silica version), the ergonomic chair of branch is plentiful, well, ergonomic. In order to give his functions and its price context, it is a good idea to compare him with the professional.
The professional has 14 adjustments on offer, during stool 8. The professional's arms moves in 5 species and the chair only 3. What does that mean at the session? It didn't really miss all the additional adjustments of the professional while sitting on the Ergo chair. I was able to move the seat depth forward and back, I liked the back relie, which was locked in 4 different angles, and the arm movements could be operated.
This is actually the weak point of this chair. As mentioned above, the armrest are furnished a little too wide for my taste, and so I couldn't relax both of the elbows at the same time. It may be different for you, but it is worth mentioning.

I used the ergonomic chair for about two months and returned to the width of the arm. Everything else worked exactly I was hoping. The lumbar support was solid and although it did not have the padded lumbar spine that her ProBro brother does, I cannot say that I missed it (I had checked the professional beforehand, so everything was still fresh in my head).
I liked the double -layer mesh back and found myself a satisfactory squish without thinking about it when I took a break from work. And although the headrests are not for everyone, I really enjoyed it and found that it was perfect for mine (it can be adapted up and down).
Delivery and assembly

Branch is really good at offering a stress -free assembly experience. With only 8 parts to lock and curb together, it is definitely one of the lighter chairs that I have checked, in contrast to the multi-million pieces puzzles that are Sihoo chairs.
As with all of my chair reviews, I built the chair alone, only the tools that the company delivered, and moved it from the ground to my office space on the first floor. Actually, I did this in two parts – base and top – because it is nothing at 15.9 kg to transport a staircase. I said I'm fine !!).
Price & judgment
I wrote most of this assessment and thought that the ergonomic chair was 349 US dollars and was quite happy about it. Then I selected the standard black model and clicked on pebbles, sand and graphite … and the price rose to 389 US dollars.
Now I like the colors. It is something that does the industry really well. But is a little color worth $ 40? I'm not quite sure. With the higher 389 US dollars, however, I still think that this is a great chair. So the crisis has averted … However, I would only like to see a price for all color options.
So should you buy it? I gave the ergonomic chair 4 out of 5 stars because it is a very good chair that, if you don't have the problem with extensive arm, is a great option. But I can only check the model I get, and with this model I couldn't always rest my elbows on my arm, and so I took a star away. If you do not have this problem, it is a 4.5/5 chair (not 5, since the Sihoo M18 is still the top when it comes to offering the best ergonomics for less than $ 150).
