MET GALA 2025S wildest, strangest appearance and trends

MET GALA 2025S wildest, strangest appearance and trends

This year's Met Gala topic was difficult – black dandyism – and the invitation was not equipped with instructions. The guests were mostly up to their own devices to interpret what exactly meant on the red carpet. And boy, some of them have interpreted, with an stunning appearance of the 154-foot staircase of the Met.

Nevertheless, it was almost as if Anna Wintour had sent a secret group chat (she didn't do it unless Jeffrey Goldberg knows something), with outfits after some very clear topics. Many women arrived with shiny Joephine Baker-style Marcel Waves, while many men wore shiny hair, top hats and cocks, which are in the end like wedding trains. Everyone wore the abundance – including one that looked suspicious like a large garbage bag.

Below are the wildest (some say, strangest) trends of the 2025 Met Gala …

Claws & tailoring Claws were out. Literally. Cynthia erivos acrylic nails took two days. Ego Nwodim agreed to her jacket with her manicure on the subject of a button. Sabrina Carpenter had “LV” logos on her, while Lizzo coordinated nail art in Tuxedo-style to her Siriano Mermaid dress. Dwyane Wade and Chappell Roan both went neon. Nail art has clearly joined her maximum.

Hair space Marcel waves were practically mandatory. Sydney Sweeney, Quinta Brunson, Serena Williams, Lana del Rey and Dua Lipa Lipa channeled Josephine Baker with smooth waves and kiss curls. But some stars broke the shape: Natasha Lyonne and Ciara rocked massive hair sculptures. Anne Hathaway made a towering ponytail; Miley Cyrus revealed a sculptural network. Lizzo knew Marilyn Monroe with platinum pin-up curls.

Extreme accessories André 3000 appeared with a Grand Piano backpack and, yes, a garbage bag. Olivier Rusteins pushed a literal sewing machine. Madonna has blown up an illuminated cigar. Teyana Taylor designed her own red hat with Ruth E. Carter. Mary J. Blige wore Stephen Jones' golden bone head. Bad Bunny's gloves were popular, his Prada-Bag-like.

Puffs & Capes Dramatic outerwear stole the carpet. Ciara wore a pink buffer dress. Alicia Keys brought a quilted wrap. Traceee Ellis Ross stacked with a Marc Jacobs -overall and a suitable hat on Lautstisch. Diana Ross' Ugo Mozie Cape was practically planetary. Rihanna, pregnant again, presented a Marc Jacobs corset suit with an oversized backbow and a baby bump.

Pearls, confused and confused Pearls and pearls were everywhere. Pharrell wore a Louis Vuitton Pearl Tux. Ayo Edebiris Ferragamo shirt dress shimmered with purple pearls. Demi Moores Thom Browne “Tiekleid” was sewn with 1.4 million pearls. A bad hook and someone would have rolled down the MET level.

Mad Hatters Headgear plentiful: jewelry crowns, veils, top hats, even head pieces on ties like Demi Moores. Regina King, Lewis Hamilton, Zendaya and Teyana Taylor included all eccentric toppers. No head went naked.

Skin in Despite the tailor's subject, skin still made Kameen. Sydney Sweeney and Kylie Jenner showed a large division. Kerry Washington was visible. Lorde wore a shiny gray bra top with a Thom Browne suit. Sabrina Carpenter and Hailey Bieber went full body. The pants were apparently optional.

Soon chango F1 Star Damson Idris stole the show with a Tommy Hilfiger racing suit and a sequin helmet that turned into a three-part red suit. Colman Domingo has also changed briefly and switched from a chess board look to mega-size Blue Cap with a large church golden church collar.

The most extreme makeover Walton Goggins, the unexpected thirst trap of the new White lotus The season showed itself in an inside-out thoma browne rock suit and a long duster coat. A swing and a miss? Perhaps. But points for the risk.
