The Beacon Awards 2025, the designer Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY) Awards, the honors and publicly recognized excellence in light design for submissions.
In his second year, lighting designers, lighting consultants, architects, interior designers and industrial designers with practices in the New York area are invited. For 2025, the Beacon Awards have expanded the number of categories that can take the designers from six to ten 225 -New York project, residential, commercial interior, hospitality, external, experimental, architectural product design, decoration product design, retail and cultural institution.
An icon award is awarded to a person, a studio or a company that has shown an extraordinary commitment to the further development of light design in the built environment. The recipient of this award is selected by the Dlfny Awards Committee and approved by the Dlfny board.
“Our first Beacon Awards exceeded all expectations with the quality and quantity of the submissions,” says Charles Pavarini III, chairman of the Beacon Awards Committee. This year we are expanding the price categories to give a wider arena in which designers can present their projects. New categories include commercial interiors, decorative product design, cultural institutions and experimental lighting systems. “All means have supported the appearance of the Dlfny scholarship by Lana Lenar Lighting Empowerment to promote the future of the upcoming lighting designers.”
The winners will be announced and celebrated on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Beacon Awards ceremony in the Sony Hall in Midtown Manhattan.
