While all-white bathrooms were definitely trendy at a certain point in time, they are not so fascinating today, says designer Amr Samaha; You can often feel sterile and not inviting.
“The lack of color and texture can make these rooms appear cold and impersonal,” says Samaha.
The designer Alexis Warren has similar views and says that it is no longer a bathroom trend and that it is a lot to do.
“I use more wallpaper, strong colors for cupboards, tiles in more funny colors and funky shapes and handmade cell -up tiles are everywhere,” she says.
Also remember that a purely white bathroom from the perspective of maintenance, even if you are put on by neutral, is not the most practical. Even the smallest spot or the smallest dirt stain falls off the naked eye.
Also skip the general bathroom; You can feel monochromatic and cold what the warmth is missing and the variety that people are looking for these days. Samaha also says that Brown and Beige can look boring and uninspired.

Whirlpool tubs or whirlpools
These types of tubs are becoming less and less common in today's bathrooms.
“Once considered the epitome of luxury, large whirlpool were lost their attraction,” says Samaha.
He attributes this to the large amount of water you need, as well as maintenance.
Instead, today's homeowners are attracted to practical and spatially saving designs such as walk -in showers, which are equipped with jets and other functions. These options are better alternatives because they still offer a spa-like experience without a large tub.
Topic baths

While they are cute for children, thematic bathrooms for adults belong to the past.
“Bathroom with difficult topics – such as nautical or jungle motifs – were once popular for their funny, personalized touch. However, these can quickly become overwhelming and kitsch,” says Samaha.
Nowadays it is better to choose subtle and demanding nod on topics if you decide to recognize one at all. In this way you can create a timeless bathroom that can develop with changing flavors, explains Samaha.
Carpet baths
Nowadays, carpet floors simply have no space in the bathroom, although it was previously seen as a luxurious comfort.
Samaha points out that carpet is not a clever choice due to its ability to catch moisture. In today's bathing rooms you can see tile, vinyl, stone or wooden floors- materials that offer both style and practicality.
Tiled worktops

You will not come across many tiled bathroom worktops these days. Instead, homeowners are interested in the marble, quartz and quartzite surfaces.
Tiles are expensive and difficult to change, explains the designer and architect Barry Goralnick.
“If you have simple colors and patterns, it makes it easier to resell your home.
From the point of view of cleanliness, tiles are not the best choice. The grout between tiles can easily catch dirt and bacteria, which can make it difficult to clean and wait.
“Today's homeowners and designers prefer worktops that offer both style and functionality without maintenance,” says Samaha.
