When the laboratory's day approaches and the summer is slowly coming to an end, the world of fashion sees in the interiors quickly enough to give them whipped spaces. It goes from the pale summer colors of white, creams, sky blue and butter -yellow tones to deeper, more atmospheric colors that convey a feeling of changing seasons. Burgundy is such a color that we already see in all new autumn starts of 2025.
When I think of autumn color schemes, I first come to mind golden mustard, moss grass and oxblood red wines. However, the interior designer Shea McGee predicted that a more sophisticated color will dominate the fall trends next season. In a recently published article, Shea says: “We love rich, cozy colors for autumn – especially a bold Burgundy. It is timeless and perfect to give depth to every room. ' Barista from 175.
You will notice (if you are an enthusiastic shea trailer like me) that you have a very similar deep red/brown shade during your last autumn collection with Target and your own autumn line at McGee & Co. From a smaller rustic decor to large -format furniture, the dark maroon repeatedly replaces.
In order to make my home in trend like Shea this autumn, I asked color experts to use their thoughts to chic shadow and how to use it at home.
You could think that decoration with Burgundy is obvious for autumn, but the beauty of the coffee colored red are his many layers. Helen Shaw, Marketing Director (International), Benjamin Moore, says: 'Benjamin Moores Barista is a lush, velvety dark brown with a touch of red that brings warmth and depth to every room. As a brave neutral, it is the versatility to serve either as a self -confident backdrop or as a more striking accent. This makes it ideal to create a focus in a number of environments, from intimate, cozy swallowing to expansive, luxurious kitchens. '
You will notice that Shea used the shadow in a walk -in pantry and a powder room on the ground floor, both of which are smaller rooms. It could be interior design 101 to use lighter colors in tiny rooms, but dark colors can have the same spatially expanded effects. In addition, a deep burgundy can give a room depth and warmth, feelings that are not always easy to remember in narrow rooms.

“To use this color courageously, wrap the entire room, including all the walls and the ceiling, in this depths, rich brown,” says Helen. “The result will be a space that feels unexpectedly larger and is irresistibly inviting. Combine with brushed brass for a golden glow, creamy white for balance and light or soft blushing -accents for a contemporary setting of a romantic color scheme. 'Similar to Helens suggestion, Shea has not held back to use the burgundy color and use it generous and to create luxury together.
Hannah Yeo, Senior Manager of Color Marketing at Benjamin Moore, agrees that it is the best way to use the shadow. “Immerse yourself in a color -nauten room with this rich, roasted coffee brown. A subtle, earthy red undertone gives warmth and depth and creates an inviting atmosphere. '
For a look inspired by Shea who feels culturally and cozy, says Hannah: “This color fits wonderfully with leather accents and marine blues. Lay it with wooden tones and creamy neutral for a cozy, grounded look. '
