Calhoun, Ga.-Mohawk came together to the tunnel to Towers Foundation to the army Sgent Samuel Walley and his family.
The smart home program offers injured veterans and first aiders mortgage-free houses. Designers specifically provide these houses to satisfy individual needs and help Heroes to regain their daily independence.
“At Tunnel to Towers, we endeavor to build houses that are accessible to our seriously injured veterans and first aiders,” said Larry Olson, Executive Vice President Marketing and Communication for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. “Our smart homes accommodate a variety of functions such as automated doors and lighting, wheelchair accommodation and systems that can be controlled from a distance. The floors of Revwood, which are produced and built for duration, is only another feature that veterans do not have to worry about in their new houses.”
Sgt. Walley comes from a long series of soldiers. He entered his army in his father's footsteps. On June 6, 2012, he joined an IED during a mission in Afghanistan. He suffered a traumatic brain injury. He also lost his right leg over his knee and his left arm under the elbow. Since his recovery, Walley has devoted himself to the support of other veterans.
“Mohawk is proud to support tunnels for towers to offer extraordinary habitats for America's heroes,” said Charles Disano, Mohawks President of Wood and Laminat. “We are an honor to contribute to the comfort and quality of life of SGT. Walley and his family in their new home, and we hope that this long -lasting and beautiful floor will bring you years of comfort and permanent joy.”
