Overload of topic decoration

This year it is less about traditional “thematic” autumn decor and rather about creating timeless layers that feel perfect for the season. The designer Shannon Dennis, founder of monochrome processing, explains: “Instead of introducing the motifs and patterns of autumn motifs, concentrate on overwriting several structured autumn and pillows in order to capture the essence of the changing leaves of autumn,” she explains.

In other words, you don't need leaves and pumpkins everywhere so that it feels like autumn. The designer Ethan Charles Greenfeld, founder and main designer at Ethan Charles Design. “Usually, especially for autumn, [I] Always add tons of texture to a room to bring in a certain level of heat, ”he adds.

Faux leaves and props

If you have to have your autumn leaves, just choose the real offer where you can. Artificial leaf garlands and wreaths have been decorative favorites for a long time in autumn, but designer Aatika Manzar says that their excessively bright colors and their plastic finish can immediately improve a room. Instead, she suggests choosing dried botanical. “Pampas grass, eucalyptus, dried hydrangeas or even cut branches from your own garden bring a softer, more organic look that feels sophisticated and seasonally,” she adds.

While traditional autumn colors always have a place, the overuse of a bright palette of pumpkin orange, fiery red and sunny yellow could lead to their space dated and feel a bit overwhelming.

“Let go of the traditional autumn tones of oranges and pumpkins and [instead] If they comprise ground, warm, rich autumn tones such as terracotta, Forest Greens and Deep Browns, ”says designer Vinithra Amarnathan, founder of Waspaces.

Natural textures

As with Greenfeld, most designers recommend eminging earthy, earthy, natural textures such as stone, wood, lime plaster and woven materials for autumn. “We recommend that you integrate organic textures in a way that feels timeless and not just seasonally,” says Shivani Ajmera and Disha Bhavsar, main designer at Quirk Studio.

To get the look, try to add a cozy pillow or a blanket in warm brown tones, or add an additional texture element like a woven rattan lamp. “A neutral, warm basis with tactile surfaces creates a feeling of calm and reason that works all year round, but feels particularly inviting in the autumn months,” conclude Ajmera and Bhavsar.

Works of art with an earthy color palette

If you really want to go out for this mood with feelings of falling, exchange your works of art and other small decor pieces for elements with a warm, earthy color scheme. “A handmade textile, a framed landscape or a piece of sculpture can bring warmth, depth and a feeling of personality,” says interior stylist Mita Mehta.

They don't have to be exaggerated. A small framed pressure or a decorative object would make the trick-but if you want to go everything, try a woven wall carpet like that of anthropology. It's not as much about the piece as the styling and the overall effect. “In combination with earthy tones or soft lighting, these parts quietly remind the mood of autumn,” says Mehta.
