In general, there is currently universal praise for Borderlands 4 after its introduction to what the series brings.
In general, there is generally universal admission that boys, this game is certainly terrible on the PC, which leads to a large number of negative vapor reviews, which means that the game is mixed there.
It is certainly not great, since many guilt 1) the use of unreal 5, 2) the use of unreal 5 in an open world game like this and 3) The fact that Borderland is normally poorly optimized is poorly optimized when it is published. But there are at least a few things that alleviate the terrible performance, with some tips even shared by Randy Pitchford himself, who found the expectations before the start that this would probably not be astonishing. Well, he was right!
You will want to experiment a little in view of your hardware. These things helped with my non -date new 3080, although I don't do everyone. In advanced settings:
- UPSCALING method – DLSS
- High scaling quality – performance
- Frame generation – on
- Volumetric fog – medium or low
You can also experiment with things like volumetric cloud or shadow quality. What I did in the end were only DLSS in terms of performance. Frame genes creates a look that I do not love, as well as the reducing fog that made everything a little flat for my taste. But you may not care.
It is certainly better. It is not repaired. Gearbox has already issued several patches to try to reduce stuttering/frame waste. Compared to the review that I had between this and these changes, it is noticeably better, but compared to many other, much more smooth shooters in 2025, it should be emphasized.
This should be a priority for the transmission for the future, together with the still existing crashes. Those I find most often when I can pause the game for a long time, but I also had a crash in the final boss fight in the game where I mean, Lol.
In a game, Borderlands 4 really seemed to land with fans and even some of these completely new ones in the series, since he originally started 16 years ago and Borderlands 3 was full six years ago. It is a good jump and you don't really need three full games from Borderland's traditions to find out what's going on in history. But if you want the whole thing go better, try it out. Console? For the time being, they are most likely alone. I hope you get a FOV slider.
