We all know that Dakota Johnson loves a seeming moment, but she is also someone who enjoys an elegant, chic minimalism where it is important. Johnson performed at the Zurich Film Festival this week and decided on the latter approach.
Johnson, styled by Kate Young, entered the stage in Switzerland 39 from Maximilian Davis' Ferragamo autumn 2025 collection: a gray steel sweater in a draped, almost silky fabric with a black silk cloak and a black structured mini skirt. She designed it with silver drop earrings, pure black tights and chunky platform boots by Saint Laurent.
The Cape (and steel, poncho and pashmina) has a bit of comeback this season that will be sighted over the career in autumn 2025. At Chloé it is extremely more boho, in creams, ruffles and longing fabrics. Schal coating and draped, layered outer clothing were also found in Calvin Klein, Burberry and Bottega Veneta. Jennifer Lawrence was recently photographed in an entertaining, high setting with a furry midnight blue over her top and jeans, while Kendall Jenner decided on a striking leather jacket with a draped overlay by Phoebe Philo. And when you go vintage, you will of course find a treasure of cloaks of Hermès and sculptural jackets by Yohji Yamamoto and Rick Owens.
Johnson appeared Zurich Film Festival to preserve the Golden Eye Award and present her latest film. Splitsville. On the first evening she decided on her bare clothing style and wore a tailor-made, blue-blue Gucci dress with a sheer, embroidered upper half and drop waist.
