6 living room “upgrades” that immediately make your home look bad, say designers

It is always nice to give the living room a facelifting. After all, it is a room in which we spend so much of our lives – and with all the pedestrian traffic it can wear out over time. However, not all decorative changes are necessarily an upgrade.

From the faux pas from floors to overwhelming decor, certain features can completely change the appearance of your living room – and not in a good way.

Forward designers share six sticky living room upgrades that actually make their space look bad so that they can stay away from expensive mistakes.

Have walls

While accent walls have been trendy for several years, they have started to lose their attraction among the masses. However, it is not the case Only About trends.

Colors that are too dark for the room

Dark colors are not completely off the table in living rooms. It is just about ensuring that you use it balanced – especially if there is only limited natural light in your living area.
