Hundreds of people turned out to be a vigil from candlelight to remember a father, a mother and her son, who was murdered in Co Louth at the beginning of this week.
The Catholic Archbishop of Armagh and Great from all Ireland, Eamon Martin, were among those who asked for Mark O'Connor (54), his wife Louise (56) and her son Evan (27).
The shock was expressed by the local community after the corpses of the parents and their son, who had additional needs, was found on Monday morning in the family in Drumgowna outside the village of Tallanstown.
Warm tributes were paid to all three and the effects, including Mr. O'Connor's work for the advocacy of disabilities and Mrs. O'Connor as a nurse, while Evan was valued by everyone who knew him.
Flowers and news that express condolences were laid outside the Garda Cordon.
Hundreds of people turned out to remember them on Wednesday evening on the Stonetown Community Walking Track.
The prayers were led by Father Gerry Campbell, who described the community with a grief for words, and added that in a “quiet and quiet corner of Co Louth, the loss of Markus, Louise and Evan Waves of grief in our community and in this country and in the hearts of everyone who heard their history”.
Hymns were also sung by the gathered people.
On Tuesday evening, another sons of Mr. and Ms. O'Connor, Robert O'Connor, 31, from Drumgowna, appeared before a special meeting of the district court of Drogheda, who was charged with three murder cases.
