Scandinavia's most important design festival transforms Copenhagen into a lively shop window for contemporary design. 470 exhibitions in eight districts deal with authenticity, sustainability and the future of the industry

The 2025 edition of 3 -daysofdesign celebrated contemporary design through the lens of authenticity, with the festival topic “Keep It Real” found in almost 470 exhibitions. Since its introduction in 2013, the Copenhagen festival has established as a central hub for the contemporary design discourse and is attracting an international audience to seek an insight into Scandinavian design philosophy.

The festival extended over eight design districts and showed how contemporary design practice today goes beyond individual objects and comprises more comprehensive environmental and social systems. Designers presented work that brought craft traditions into harmony with technological innovation and showed that contemporary design must also take into account environmental protection in addition to economic feasibility.

The extended scope of the festival reflects the maturation of contemporary design as a discipline that increasingly deals with inclusive, sustainability and collective responsibility – principles that determine the future orientation of the industry.
