The death of a three-year-old victim from a New Year's fireworks explosion brings the death toll to four

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow/Gray News) – A three-year-old victim of a massive New Year's fireworks explosion has died, Honolulu police announced Monday.

The boy died of his injuries in hospital several days after the explosion around 1:30 a.m. The Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Cassius Ramos-Benigno.

The boy is the fourth fatality in the incident.

In addition, more than 20 other people were hospitalized in critical and serious condition.

Six victims with serious burn injuries were flown from Hawaii to Arizona over the weekend for further treatment.
