If you're thinking about refreshing your space this year, TikTok is brimming with inspiration. The social media platform's Home section has over 7.6 million videos to browse, with an increasing focus on the emerging interior design trends of 2025.
A common theme we noticed in the app is an emphasis on all things bold: lighting up rooms with bright colors and sprucing up rooms with eclectic patterns in different types of decor. We're also seeing styles at the other end of the spectrum represented: quiet luxury and cozy-chic aesthetics with earth tones and green accents. We turned to three design experts to help you break down the best TikTok design trends of 2025 and explain how you can bring the look into your own home.
Mocha mousse and other earth tones

Mocha mousse is Pantone's color of the year 2025and the home design has fully embraced the luxurious brown tone. Microgreen corners

Put down your brushes because this 2025 TikTok design trend puts plants in the spotlight. Matthew Coates, owner of Coates Design Seattle Architectscompares microgreen corners to biophilic DIY design on a budget. The setup can include hydroponic systems or small herb pots on a windowsill. And while the greenery is certainly aesthetically pleasing, Coates highlights the practicality of the indoor garden. “Imagine grabbing fresh basil straight from your kitchen for dinner,” he says, adding that the trend is also perfect for smaller living spaces that could use a refresh.
Color core

Colorcore has its roots in maximalism. It includes bold colors and eye-catching, contrasting patterns and prints layered in the same space. “Homeowners are increasingly viewing their spaces as places of joy and self-expression rather than just quiet retreats,” explains Garcia, noting a rise in customers who want “eclectic, colorful design elements” and reject neutral minimalism. There are two ways for the designer to approach the technology. Either go all in with a vibrant accent wall, or start small by layering statement accessories like pillows or rugs. Either way, Garcia says, the key is to “create unexpected color combinations that energize your space while reflecting your personality.”

Drenching color isn't a “new” concept per se, but it's a major TikTok design trend for 2025. The concept is simple: choose a color, a shade, and drench a room in your house with it. To master the technique, Elley recommends “painting the walls, ceiling, and trim the same color.” However, for maximum impact, Elley recommends giving each component a different paint finish and incorporating the color into the room's accessories as well To allow curtains and bed linen to penetrate. “It will help give a neat and polished look.”
