If you think about decorating your home, Chatgpt's new image generator is a fantastic way to bring your ideas to life, especially when it comes to choosing color.
Chatgpt can pull colors from the entire web-von Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams to newer brands like Clare to show them what they would look like in their room. It is like putting their color samples and pinterest board in a mixer.
Don't get me wrong, I love obsessed with lacquer decisions and search the “colors of the year”, but AI can help focus their efforts and develop their ideas faster. That's how I did it.
How many “white” options can really exist?
Chatgpt's new image generator is open to free users, but I used an account of $ 20 per month and the “GPT-4O” model. (Other AI image generators offer similar functions.)
Starting with the basics, I asked Chatgpt to create a room with the two neutral colors that I have considered for the equipment, the walls and the ceiling: Sherwin Williams “Alabaster” and Sherwin-Williams “creamy”. I asked to put alabaster on the cladding and the ceiling and creamy on the walls. I didn't send it the links or given the clear color codes. It pulled her out of the web and created this picture.

“You will get one gentle contrast That looks too sharp and elegantly not too sharp, but still polished, “says Chatgpt.
If you have not yet selected your colors, Chatgpt can also give suggestions. It mentioned that Sherwin Williams could be an alternative. All three are currently popular older colors.
How would I choose? I asked Chatgpt to give myself more information about why there are so many white color options and how to choose between them. It synthesized information from blogs and websites and explained the so -called light reflective value or LRV from everyone. This helped me to rule out the Greek villa, what is technically White than the other two, so I felt confident that I was sticking to my original picks.

Mix'n match: color palette ideas
I moved past the white and colors and sent chatt the entire range of what I had considered, at Sample, a company that produces stickers replica of specific colors. I copied a screenshot of my car into the chat window and asked for combination ideas.
“You have one Beautiful, earthy-meets-romantic Palette here – warm neutral, steamed green, soft pink and a moody blue, “said it. Lots of versatile opportunities to group themDepending on the mood you want in every room. Here are a few ideas. “
Chatgpt can be a bit like a “yes” (where) man who asks a redditor to consider this to Pretty. Maybe it is moonlight as a sample sales employee, but I'll take it.

It proposed combinations of colors for all areas of the house, e.g. B. office, kitchen and bathroom. His office idea called a “earthy retreat” with white and sage green. Fascinated by this option, I asked you to mock ” #3, earthy retreat”. Note that you can maintain the conversation with very short answers like this. It is often unnecessary to torture the “perfect entry prompt” by creating the “perfect input request”.
It chose half of the wall in one color and half in another what was a mistake. It probably remembered that I asked about this concept earlier, but I didn't want to say that I wanted it in this special picture. Nevertheless, it gave me an idea of what it could look like.

I also tried a blue version with this prompt: “Make a creamy and smoky Azurite good. You mocked a wall that is 3/4 creamy, with the last 1/4 on the upper Rauchzurite. Alabaster for trim and blanket.” I played with two different lighting options, a darker and lighter room. As an additional bonus, it chose wooden thread colors for itself, which could be part of the design for me that I can take into account later.

“Create a primary bedroom photo with Rojo -Rust as an accent wall behind the bed, creamy on the walls and alabaster ceiling/cladding,” I asked next.

The accent wall looked a little too dark red for me, so I exchanged color in a brighter color. You can make these adjustments without any problems, but it takes a few minutes for the pictures to be loaded, possibly due to the overwhelming demand that CEO Sam Altman overloads the server from Openaai. I also tried not to go crazy with image inquiries because I knew how much computer energy they needed.

I thought about removing the darker red from my car, but I thought Chatgpt's version looked darker than the color on the Sherwin Williams website, so I kept it. As with all things, the AI always checked twice, and never take their output to the nominal value.
When the sample arrived in real life, the color appeared more or less red depending on the light. Sometimes it looked like Chatgpt's picture and sometimes it was similar to the Sherwin Williams website. You can ask Chatgpt to adapt the lighting in the room to better simulate your real conditions, but it is always best to see you personally.
Your previous digital Michelangelo
Unfortunately, Chatgpt does not take a brush or role and do the job for you (still), but it is a helpful ideas tool to make sound decisions during your renovation projects.
You can bring this concept to the next stage by uploading photos from your own home, like a Redditor to get the renovation ideas for a dated living room.
Will Chatgpt Interior Architects replace? That is the current hot view of social media. While there is a grain of the truth, since Chatgpt is such a helpful tool, it is a bit a distance. Since it scratches the web for opinions and materials about which others have written, it can create boring appearance and generic designs that are geared towards a mass market audience.
A real designer can offer deeper personalization with a dose of reality (pricing) that may be inspired by the pictures that you create in chatt to get the conversation going.
