Bluesound updates all-in-one speakers with the new PULSE FLEX

Bluesound, the Canadian hi-res audio brand known for its BluOS multiroom ecosystem, has introduced a completely redesigned version of its compact all-in-one speaker PULSE FLEX. The new model represents the first major update in nearly a decade to one of Bluesound's best-selling products, combining a minimalist aesthetic with the brand's signature focus on high-performance sound.

Bluesound says the latest PULSE FLEX has been designed to fit seamlessly into real-world living environments such as kitchens, bedrooms and home offices without compromising audio quality. “With the new PULSE FLEX, we aim to make Bluesound’s acclaimed sound signature more accessible without compromising on detail and quality,” said Matt Simmonds, product manager at Bluesound. “We’ve created a beautiful all-in-one speaker that fits into spaces where people actually live, like kitchens, bedrooms and offices, while delivering the kind of clarity and depth our customers expect.”

The new Bluesound PULSE FLEX will be available starting December 16, 2025 at a suggested retail price of $349. Customers can purchase through authorized Bluesound dealers, bluesound.com and Amazon.

Compact design meets everyday flexibility

The refreshed PULSE FLEX features a smaller footprint and softer, rounded edges, as well as modern finishes to suit modern interiors. Customers can choose between Black Charcoal, White Pebble Gray and White Tan, with optional fabric grilles and accessories such as the WM100 Wall Mount and FS230 Adjustable Stand for added versatility.

According to Bluesound, the speaker has been redesigned not only in terms of design but also in terms of practicality. Users can position it almost anywhere in the home and easily integrate it into existing systems. It can function as a standalone speaker, be paired in stereo, or serve as rear surround channels in combination with Bluesound's POWERNODE, PULSE CINEMA or CINEMA MINI products.

High-resolution audio in a small form factor

Inside, the new PULSE FLEX carries Bluesound's typical emphasis on hi-fi sound. A custom SmartDSP amplifier drives a 4-inch woofer and a 0.75-inch tweeter, producing a total system output of 50 watts. The speaker supports 24bit/192kHz resolution playback as well as MQA decoding and DSD256 compatibility for audiophiles seeking lossless performance.

“The new PULSE FLEX combines everything people have loved about our most popular speaker over the last 10 years: rich sound, intuitive controls and sleek design, and makes it even more accessible,” said Morten Nielsen of Bluesound. “It’s living hi-fi without high barriers, designed for everyday music lovers who want to experience premium sound anywhere in the home, with seamless control via their phone or tablet.”

Intelligent connectivity and multiroom integration

Like other products in the Bluesound range, the PULSE FLEX is powered by BluOS, the company's proprietary multi-room streaming platform. The BluOS Controller app allows listeners to stream and access platforms from more than 20 music services, including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon and Apple AirPlay 2.

For connectivity, the speaker has dual-band Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, aptX HD Bluetooth, USB-C and an optical/analog combo jack. Smart home integration is also supported, with drivers for systems such as Crestron, Control4, Nice and RTI.
