Brit Style takes Manhattan: Livingetc X Little Greene in New York

British design met American creativity to our latest Design, directed Lunch, in the beautiful private room in Le Veau d'Or. The soft pink walls of the New York restaurant were the backdrop for a meeting in which the connection with panels or parking spaces, but due to the simple magic of the delicious food and the funny conversations.

This time the table was filled with a wonderful mix of interior designers, not only from New York, but from the USA. Ruth Mottershead, Creative Director of Little Greene, spoke about delicious French tariff (the Frites!) And so many glass, about the legacy of the brand and the joy, the color can bring color to our houses.

It was a perfect moment to see how British crafts and sensitivity use to an American audience. Lunch was a relaxed start What is new, what's next? The following day at 200 Lex – a chance to withdraw from the hustle and bustle, share stories and enjoy the kind of conversations that remind us why design is as much about people as about products.

The conversation touched everything, from fear of tariffs to the developing balance between hospitality and residential projects before turning into color. Here the mood was unanimous: designers hugging colors that feel positive and calming. As Ruth von Little Greene explained: “The colors that are currently resonance are grounding and enrichment. Deep, rich caramel are perfect for creating rooms, while soft brown offers comfort and reflect the desire to create warmth in our houses.”

It was a view that had exchanged the table, these colors were viewed as the keys to create interior, which bring both joy and familiarity at a time when they are very urgently needed.
