Apart from additional school closings for storms, the class from 2025 on May 23 in Christian County will graduate. The education committee approved the final date on Thursday evening at a regular workshop meeting. The Christian County High School will graduate this year at 5 p.m. The Hopkinsville High School will graduate at 8:30 p.m. Both will take place again at the Stadium of Champions with alternative locations at the respective high school for rain.
In other business areas, the school authority voted for the sale of six buses that are at the end of their depreciation. The district will use the Kentucky Inter-Local School Transportation Association (Kista) to facilitate the sale.
CCHS parent, Sandy Mullins, expressed concerns that students had to wait outside of school in the morning.
