High point-to-do many of the outdoor exhibitors at the High Point market mainly for the design buyers who make up a large part of the participants, a small casual manufacturer is aimed at the stationary retail buyer with functional and durable seats and permanent outdoor tables.

Hightek Outdoor Living, now on the market in the second year, is a family -run company that was founded two and a half years ago by Chief Operating Officer Matt Coblentz, his father and brother. The team is new in the market scene and brings generation experience to the table. “We are a third generation furniture store,” said Coblentz. “My grandpa had a retail business and I grew up up to the age of 14, so that the background really flows into craftsmanship that we put into our work.”

The company specializes in HDPE outdoor furniture with hidden aluminum frame and intelligent design functions that are looking for retail customers who are looking for products that can stand at will and weather.

“We mainly work with HDPE,” said Coblentz. “It is a plastic from chicago and you do a phenomenal job with the extrusion process and the wooden grains. I think you are the best on the market what you are doing.”

Retailers are Hightec's target group, and the company's approach to clean construction and subtle details is part of its attraction.

“One of the things we do is (that) on the back and on the seats that the screws don't see,” said Coblentz. “This is a newer thing that happens more and more on the market, but it is definitely still pretty new. There is a much cleaner look and it is one of these little details that distinguish us.”

Another outstanding outstanding approach of the brand to table design. “It's a thick table top, but you don't see the aluminum underneath because we have sunk into the material ourselves,” he said. “It is a kind of our thing that we are pretty proud of – just a really smart idea that we had. It keeps the design clean without giving up strength.”

Coblentz attributes to his team to promote innovation. “Our design type does a really good job,” he said. “He is great in developing clever ideas, such as the hiding place of the aluminum frame or the use of aprons to keep everything smooth.”

Although the overall traffic decreased from the first highlight of the company, Hightek reported on strong commitment.

“Overall, it was really good traffic,” he said. “But we had a lot of really good contacts, and connections and shops open some really nice accounts. It was definitely lower on this market than the last market, but we only have a market with which we can compare it, so we are generally very satisfied.”
