Tuaran: The Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations 2025 became even more festive with the success of the Pantai Dalit “Color-Light” competition, which had recently been involved in 24 villages at the beginning of the Syawal celebrations. Eighteen villages appeared on the champion of the Champions stage, whereby Kampung Trayung appeared here as this year's overall winner. Matuin spoke to the media about the preparations for the event and revealed that it took more than a week for the decorative light design of the village to be completed. “The estimated costs for our participation were around 1,600 RM,” he said.
The organizer Rijahan Aliprah found that the competition in the past 13 years has been an estimated tradition in Pantai Dalit and Tuaran. “This is the fourth year in which we successfully organized it to a larger scale, and this year's celebration was particularly lively compared to the previous ones,” said Rijahan, who is also a special officer of the prime minister. The assessment was carried out by invited experts from Labuan and Kota Marudu, who rated each village professionally based on creativity and originality. Apart from the dazzling lights and lively colors, the competition also reinforced the spirit of unity and togetherness among the local communities.
