Barratt Homes recently welcomed ten East Sussex College art and design students to its Cuckoo Fields development in Hailsham for an exclusive interior design tour and educational workshop.
Led by Susan White, founder of Phoenix Interior Design, the event offered aspiring interior designers valuable insight into the world the complexity of the Design process behind Barratt Homes' show homes, and provides a hands-on opportunity to explore the latest trends and techniques in residential interior design.
As part of Barratt Homes' commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent in the housebuilding industry, students enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Susan's creative process in creating bespoke show homes show houses by dealing with the target group, researching the competition and dealing with the details of the brief for their housing developments, which ultimately results in… Mood boards and material boards.
The Cuckoo Fields development was officially launched in early November and will provide a once completed Selection of 272 energy efficient homes with two, three, four and five bedrooms, of which 160 are private, 80 are affordable and 22 are owner-occupied, built to the highest building standards.
