The Galaxy S25 Edge – the slimest device in the history of the Galaxy S series – was officially unveiled. The latest addition to the flagship line -up by Samsung Electronics makes an immediate impression with its amazingly thin silhouette.
Samsung Newsroom spoke to Jiyoung Lee and Hyoungenhin Park, Vice President of the Designed Team, Mobile Experience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics, more about the history and innovation behind the design of the Galaxy S25 Edge.

A refined design with a distinctive edge
The Galaxy S25 Edge makes a brave statement with its ultra-slim profile.
“This model represents the most important form of a smartphone by removing all unnecessary elements,” said Lee, who led the product design.

The thinness of the device is further highlighted by the thoughtful balance between color, material and finish (CMF). Premium Titanium, which is known for both its elegance and durability, is used for the side frame and creates a slim but robust feeling and reflects the design identity of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The color palette was carefully refined to emphasize the different form of the Galaxy S25 Edge and to remain true to the bright shadow concept of the Galaxy S25 series, which was inspired by the wide range of light. The color tones available include titanium silver, Titan Iclyblue and Titanium Jetblack.
A one-mass design that visually integrates the frame and the back works together with a slimmer bezel to create a seamless, coherent appearance that emphasizes the elegant profile of the Galaxy S25.

“When designing the Galaxy S25 Edge, we considered the color depth and saturation, the material integration, the user preferences and the manufacturing processes,” said Park, who led the CMF design. “This enabled us to express the symbolism and the sophisticated identity of the Galaxy S25 edge and at the same time maintain the consistency with the CMF direction of the Galaxy S25 series.”
The interface of glory and user -friendliness
What does “essential design” mean in the context of smartphones? The Galaxy design team is not just about simplicity, but about the intented design that focuses on the user.
“During the planning, we wondered which new value a slimmer smartphone could offer – instead of only concentrating on how the device becomes thinner,” said Lee. “We wanted the design to go beyond the first impressions and provide permanent satisfaction due to balance and comfort the moment it takes place.”

Slimness was directed by aesthetic philosophy that focuses on modern and elegant design, and became a key element to improve user -friendliness.
“The Galaxy S25 EDGE offers a natural insertion that reduces the elongation in the wrist during the longer use, and the thin bezel enables an immersive experience experience,” she added. “The front is flat while the back has a subtle curve – shaped to feel comfortable in the hand.”
Premium value due to a balance of emotions and technology
It was a challenge in itself to put both high performance and premium trade in a 5.8 -mm frame.
“We could not enter into the exceptionally slim design or the powerful 200 MP camera,” said Lee. “To ensure that the high-performance camera connects seamlessly into the thinner body, we applied the same CMF from the back glass to the camera base, which it looks like a uniform structure. We used the linear camera edge, an integral element of the galaxy identity to tie everything together.”

▲ The comradeship of the Galaxy S25 edge
The precision of the CMF version was just as important.
“To apply the same CMF concept from the Galaxy S25 series to a slimmer vitre, we have worked together exactly across the departments. They test different color combinations and cross -shift surfaces to the start,” said Park.
The result is a remarkably thin form factor that still delivers the premium appearance, defines the galaxy.
