Pottery Barn Set of 5 Artificial Pumpkins and Gourds
Pottery Barn
When it comes to decorating for fall, Napier likes to accent her home with decorative pumpkins — but not the cookie cutter ones you might be thinking of. “We love the fairytale varieties that are green or peach or covered in bumps,” she shares. “They’re hanging on our doorstep until Thanksgiving.”
This set of five pumpkins and gourds from Pottery Barn walks the line between classic and whimsical (and they're artificial, so you don't have to worry about them going bad).
Birch Lane Elsie 10 inch lampshade
Wayfair
As for her favorite home trend of the season, Napier loves “padded drum umbrellas”—so much so that she recently hired a local seamstress to create a “gorgeous pleated Mughal floral umbrella with a little striped ruffle skirt.” If you don't feel like going the custom route, add a touch of fall color to your space with this pleated option from Wayfair.
Better Homes & Gardens Emerson Curvy Accent Chair
Walmart
“There are two comfortable, worn armchairs in our storage room next to the kitchen,” says Napier of her favorite corner of her home. “One is blue and white checkered, the other is dark gold velvet… On cold days, the fire is always burning in this room and it is the focal point of our house. We all end up there.”
While it's hard to replicate the comfort of a well-loved armchair, you can at least recreate the look with this gold velvet piece that brought “so much elegance and warmth” to a buyer's living room.
Loloi Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines Rug
Amazon
Are you looking for a way to make a room feel autumnally fresh? Napier says a new carpet “does the job.” Made in collaboration with fellow HGTV star Joanna Gaines, this option from Loloi has a gorgeous neutral pattern that looks at home any time of year.
Village Candle Mulled wine scented candle
Amazon
Napier also recommends candles for a simple room refresh, explaining, “I always prefer gourmet scents in the cold months.” According to one reviewer, this mulled wine from Amazon is “perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere on crisp fall days” and has a burn time of up to 170 hours.
V-neck sweater from Amazon Essentials
Amazon
“I'm always looking for a capsule wardrobe that doesn't make a statement,” Napier reveals of her fall collection. One of her favorites? Cotton sweater in navy and ivory, like this V-neck option from Amazon with more than 2,700 five-star reviews.
She adds: “I'm at an age now where I like clothes that feel like a seasonal uniform. Maybe that's just from raising small children and working. My brain feels messy, so my clothes don't.”
Sézane Léontine sweater
Sesame seeds
Another fall-friendly sweater that Napier keeps turning to is the Léontine Jumper from Sézane. “It’s the perfect striped cotton sweater for fall in the Deep South,” she explains. “It's not heavy or bulky. It's a little cropped and makes me feel put together.”
And if you're someone who enjoys a throwback to the past, Napier recommends thin, ribbed cotton turtlenecks under overalls: “It feels like 1997 in the best way.”
Rothy's The Double Bit Driver Loafer
Rothys
“I wear my colorful Rothy's slippers all the time,” Napier says of her favorite shoes to reach for before long days on her feet. “Everyone who knows me thinks I work for them because I can't shut up about how much I love them. I also love my colorful Merry People Bobbi boots on the job site. Those two brands, I buy all the colors!”
Hollister faux shearling jacket with faux fur lining
Hollister
While it's not exactly a trend, Napier can't wait to wear the exact replica of Penny Lane's iconic coat Almost famous. “It's absolutely not a capsule piece; it makes a statement,” she shares.
Join the HGTV star and add some star power to your everyday wardrobe with this similar faux fur-lined coat from Hollister that, according to one shopper, “keeps you extra warm on cold days.”
Lee Legendary 23″ Capri Jeans
Amazon
How would Napier describe her ideal fall outfit formula? “Loose and soft sweater – slightly oversized – straight-leg jeans that stretch and show a little ankle, a lug-sole loafer and Randolph P3 sunglasses (because it's still summer here),” she says.
