Google has improved its virtual Gemini assistant for your home – and you can ask him to repair the dishwasher, find out when your children went to sleep and even whether they left the car door open.
The new Twins For home starts together with three new “intelligent” devices, including a Brainy Google Home Speaker and a few connected cameras.

Gemini is the digital assistant in Alexa or Siri-style, which comes on Android cell phones by default.
But you can also access the AI helper on your iPhone or on your computer.
And now Google improves its selection of intelligent speakers, cameras and doorbells to work with Gemini instead of the old Google assistant – and call it Gemini for at home.
According to Google, you can chat on much more natural and more human with the improved AI.
“For years they had had to speak to their home in rigid, specific commands,” said Google.
“But with Gemini, the transaction relationship becomes a really natural conversation.
“It begins with a selection of 10 new, more natural voices with a realistic pace and intonation.”
It added: “Gemini can maintain the conversation context so that you can have a real back and forth conversation without constantly repeating yourself.”
A example specified by Google contained a user who asked the assistant to help repair the dishwasher.
The user could wonder why the dishwasher does not flow and what should be checked first.
Then they could say something like that: “The filter looks good – what should I check next? “
And then you could say: “Looks as if there is a block in the hose – how can I fix it?”
The Google AI helper would understand that the user was still talking about the dishwasher and could fix the problem.
You don't have to restart the conversation with every command.

You can also control your intelligent home devices as before so that you can manage your intelligent cameras or doorbells, locks or speakers, lights and home heating.
So you can ask for more complicated inquiries such as: “Hey Google, play this song from the climate scene in which you dance Summer Camp. “
Or you can say Google that you should add the ingredients for Pad Thai to your shopping list – instead of requesting everyone manually.
Similarly, you can ask Google to “cook a timer such a Ribye steak”, even if you don't know how long it should take.
If you “Hey Google, I will cook right away, you can switch on the lights” should Gemini know that you ask about the kitchen lighting.
But that's not all – you can also ask very detailed questions about what is going on in your house.
It will be based on the intelligent home devices you have.
So if your child has a clever lighting in the bedroom, you can find out more about it. In a Google example it was mentioned, for example, how many hours the child's light is switched on after 8 p.m. in a certain week.

You can also ask yourself how long your heating lasted at the weekend or how many hours your television remain.
And you can even create automation by asking questions – without programming knowledge.
So you can get the AI to switch on your veranda lights and activate the clever lock of your door at sunset without having to lift a finger.
There is also a short function at home that automatically draws on the most important events of the day from their intelligent cameras.
And then it is delivered to you with important parts, as if certain people returned home – or when packages were delivered.
All of this can also be manageable in a new new Google Home app.
The new Gemini for Home will live in “early access” in October and there will be a large number of older Google and Nest -Smart devices – not just for new equipment.
New Google Gadgets
To support things in Smart Home Front, Google has also started several new devices.

The headline device is the new Google Home Speaker.
It was actually annoyed as an Easter egg in a video by F1 superstar Lando Norris at the beginning of this year.
The speaker will be available in Spring 2026 from 99.99 US dollars, whereby prices in Great Britain will be announced at a later date.
It will have a new light ring that shines dynamically when he hears, thinks and reacts.
It has 360-degree audio so that you can place it anywhere-and you can connect two wirelessly as a stereo couple.
The speaker is grouped in four colors – jade, berries, hazelnut and porcelain – with other speakers in their home.
Google also introduced two new smart cameras.
Is one The nest Cam outdoor (wired, second generation) and the other is the nest cam inside (wired, third generation).

They offer a 2K video resolution with HDR capture and also work with the new Google Home.
The outdoor camera starts at $ 149.99 for a single device or $ 249.99 for a two-pack.
And the inner camera resets a little cheaper 99.99 US dollar.
They are both available today: Wednesday, October 1st.
