Great designs that are faster and more often approved

The Allan Labor Government ensures that high -quality apartments and town houses are up to date faster, since the applications are open to Great Design Fast Track from tomorrow.

This new, optimized planning route makes it easier and faster, well-designed to approve well-designed apartment and town house developments, which, depending on the zone, include eight or more houses between two and eight floors.

Projects must meet certain design principles to qualify for the way to ensure that they are high quality, durable and a good price-performance ratio for the residents. The Victorian Government Architect (OVGA) office will check applications to confirm that they meet these high standards.

In order to deliver great designs without the great costs, supporters must prove how they offer a good price -performance ratio -This could be done by innovative delivery models, modern design methods or considerations for minimizing operating costs in the long run.

Projects have to show a higher level of sustainability than typical projects -reaching an average 8 -star evaluation for the nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NATHERS) for apartments and 7.5 stars for townhouses.

You also have to take up well -thought -out common rooms, take green areas and landscape design into account and meet the needs of different types of households.

To support great design, the government has published a state design book that shows exemplary housing projects. The Victorians can nominate outstanding examples of well -designed houses on the Engage Victoria website.

The locals still retain their right to have their say, and all submissions are taken into account, but they are quickly pursued, which means that there will be no appointments from third parties, and the minister for planning Sonya Kilkenny is the responsible authority for projects that go through this path.

This is another option, like the Labor government more houses for more Victorians–in one provides the provision of more houses near trams and train stations, more town houses that get on the way faster and move the stamp tax for the townhouses and apartments outside the plans.

As stated by the Minister for the planning of Sonya Kilkenny

“We know that we need more houses, and we need them now, which is why we make sure that high-quality and well-designed town houses and apartments are previously greenish.”

“We work everything to support the design and development of more town houses and apartments that exist in quality, design, aesthetics, sustainability and costs.”
