I spent almost two decades to check most facets of consumer technology, but I've never been a big car type. It has been a way to get from A to B for many years, but electric cars have changed.
The best electric cars solve many of my biggest symptoms by car, and some of the best cars are made by brands that I would never have expected. I sat in Sony's upcoming car, The Afeela, and I love the immersive entertainment experience, but one of my main concerns is the lack of a killer application for many of these functions.
The car I waited the most? The Xiaomi SU7 SUV and I had my first opportunity to do this. What I found is one of the most thoughtful cars of all time that I can use every day. Here are five Xiaomi SU7 functions that every car manufacturer has to take over.
Screen mirroring and apps
Xiaomi is a clear advantage that Xiaomi is a telephone maker in the heart. The Xiaomi SU7 is designed in such a way that it can integrate into its existing technology in a much more natural way than Android Auto, Apple CarPlay or the Infotainment system from Tesla.
By default, your phone screen is mirrored in a window that swims over the infotainment system. However, you can also set any app on your infotainment start screen. The window to make calls can be changed, pulled and with how they are interacted on a folding phone. You can use all functions of each app, including up to 60 frames per second.

When he was sitting in the Xiaomi Su7 for the first time and saw it first -hand, one thought came immediately: the Xiaomi Su7 is the car that should have made apple. The Xiaomi SU7 supports CarPlay -a need to fully support the iPhone -but is not as closely integrated as the best Xiaomi telephones. This is the best telephone integration in a car, Bar None.
Excellent range and super fast charging
This was the first time that I was sitting in an Xiaomi Suvian, and there were a few inclusions that blew me away. All Xiaomi technologies – in particular their phones – are known for its ability to recharge quickly, and the Xiaomi SU7 follows this trend with incredible loading and range promises.
The total range of the maximum is 810 kilometers, while the regular Xiaomi SU7 is 700 km. You will receive 220 km in five minutes, while another ten minutes deliver a total range of 510 km. All of these specifications are located on the Xiaomi SU7 Max, whereby the basic model with 138 km or 350 km or the ultra – the fastest SUV in the world – prioritizes speed and performance over reach.
For the context, this is faster than the Tesla Supercharger network, which offers a maximum of ~ 320 km (on the S), although it is worth mentioning that the two companies are assessed according to different standards. Fast charging on the Xiaomi SU7 should be the standard for all cars, and even if it is evaluated by different global standards with a lower rating, it is probably still the fastest charge.
I have already had a plug-in hybrid-EV, but I have resistance to the switch to a full-time EV, which mainly led because of system concerns. The few times in which I had to calculate a rented Tesla, must be set at least 30 minutes. With long drives, this can sometimes be several stops. I have been waiting for a larger range and a faster shop, and the Xiaomi SU7 delivers both.
Storage, refrigerator and diffuser
Okay, listen to me: every car needs a refrigerator and a diffuser like the Xiaomi SU7. The diffuser concept is simple because it makes it effortless to change the fragrance in the car. There are three to choose from and there are more to order separately.
The refrigerator is far from the coolest part. It stores up to 6 cans and can be used for both hot and cold objects. It is easily accessible from the front or rear seats, as it is comfortably located below the center console and opened from behind. There are two USB-C ports all over it that supports the 18-W shop, while the USB-C connection on the front offers 65W.
There are also tons of memory in a considerable fire, in the large trunk and in several compartments under the trunk mat. The Xiaomi SU7 is a car that was manufactured with the user, and it shows up continuously.
Developed to complement your existing technology
These thoughtful details are continued throughout the car, also in experience for rear passengers and the likely applications of owners. Behind the two front seats you will find a tablet holder that offers electricity and integrates your existing technology into experience.
There is no large space for rear passengers – given the preload towards the foregone and the sporty design – but it is still a great experience. The rear seats have two zone heaters, while the front seats have also cooled down. You can control things like air conditioning, music and more with the rear tablet.
I have been waiting for a larger range and a faster shop, and the Xiaomi SU7 delivers both.
The best thing is that all of these functions work with the best iPads with just one app and every car manufacturer has to copy this integration. Xiaomi has correctly recognized that it is a mistake not to support the Apple ecosystem in its car, and I hope we will see support for other Android tablets in any form in the future.
Smart Home Integration
The Xiaomi SU7 is not only for its in-car technology and experience, but also for the way it is integrated into the wider Xiaomi ecosystem. The company has a variety of smart home products that manufacture and sell it, including all curtains, robot vacuum cleaners and lights, to television, intelligent displays and thermostats.
In view of this ecosystem, it is no surprise that the Xiaomi SU7 is deeply integrated into it. You can control large color fields of your smart home on the car's infotainment screen and set up routines to activate either automatically based on your location or with a single tip on the car screen.
It is surprising that you can also control your car from any Xiaomi Smart Home device. Would you like to warm up your car while preparing breakfast with a recipe on your intelligent display? Simply. Would you like to control your car out of your TV? Simply. The integration is incredible and I wish Xiaomi sold more of its wider ecosystem products outside China.
Finally the car we earn
The Xiaomi SU7 is the world's leaders in connectivity, has an astonishing integration into the existing technology and its smart home and offers excellent load and reach. The Xiaomi SU7 is not only the first car made by a telephone maker, but because of its potential potential.
I wish I had it, but the Max version is in Great Britain where I was born, and this may have to be my next car.
In China it has so far also followed the Xiaomi smartphone price model to make the best technology (in many cases) more affordable, and the basic model begins at around $ 30,000 and the Max version at $ 42,000. These prices would change if they were imported to other countries, but this is a seriously convincing offer.
