Ikea's life at home offers options to create joy at home

Conshohocken, Pa. – What makes people enjoy their houses every day? According to a new report by Ikea, more than a third of people find fun worldwide, but not enough at home.

In his 11th year, the report in life at home in life is a comprehensive study of how people live and what makes it really happy at home. This year's findings, which were collected from more than 38,000 people in 39 countries, show that many have difficulty achieving enough enjoyment in their rooms every day, but can often be found in small moments of self -expression, comfort and the game.

In the report, Ikea offers four important ingredients to find joy at home:

1. Feel good – health, well -being and daily habits

  • 1 out of 3 people say that a decent or clean room (think of organization) in keeping your general well -being.
  • Sleep is No. 1 activity to promote our well -being, both physically (53%) and mental (51%).
  • 63% of the people who say that a home can live sustainably also say that it is their favorite place.

2. Have fun – hobbies, creativity and play

  • Houses that support playfulness and creativity feel more secure and strengthen intellectual well -being (42% compared to 38% global average).
  • Cultural attitudes to playfulness and the household size can have an impact on how much time people play at home.

3. Personalize a room

  • Those who own their own home often often experience joy: 55% of homeowners compared to 47% of tenants.
  • A well -designed room that reflects the personal style creates a stronger emotional connection at home.

4. Create space for the belonging together

  • People who see food as social activity are 7 percentage points that are rather average belonging to belonging and enjoyment at home.
  • People who enjoy laughing with their fellow human beings are happier with their lives at home (68% compared to 61% global average).
  • Designing rooms that promote conversations, togetherness and common experiences can make a real difference in the way people feel at home.

“At home is a place of joy for two thirds of people in the world. A third does not experience as much as they want,” said Belén Ms., Global Communication and Positioning Manager at Ikea Retail, Ingka Group. “In our lives at home, findings are revealed that joy can come from small moments of self -expression, nature and the game. Small everyday acts can make a big difference.”

In order to inspire people to open the door to more joy at home, Ikea reveals a collection of conceptual imaginary spaces. In cooperation with Ulises Studio, a design studio based in Valencia, each room reflects one of the greatest trends that were highlighted in this year's report:

  • cheater – Why leave your bed when you can turn it into the ultimate cocoon? Think of soft textiles, gentle lighting and an invitation to keep yourself comfortable.

  • Children – Who says that fun is only for children? This playful space is designed for play and joyful rebellion.

  • Big conversation – deep conversations need the right attitude. This room is designed for connection with invitation seats and warm lighting that are perfect for laughter and hugs, both top drivers of Home Joy.

  • Biophilic design – Bring the outdoor area with green, natural textures and earthy tones, since 65% of those who contact nature at home feel positive in their current life.

  • Smart Home Harmony – A stylish, intuitive space that combines intelligent solutions with seamless design for a more harmonious everyday life. For example, 21% of Gen Z indicate that you use music to create the right environment.

  • Dopamine decor -Fett -colored colors, large patterns and atmospheric design make this room a celebration of self -expression. 57% of the people who say that their home reflects their identity often enjoy at home.

“Everyone should have freedom to create a home that gives joy,” said Ms.. “By transforming aspiring house trends into these imaginary spaces, we want to trigger new ideas and show that great design does not have to be out of reach.”
