California Manufacturing Technology Consulting® (CMTC) recently made Lean Manufacturing Training and Consulting Services available for the Justice Design Group (JDG) to strengthen the company and to expand the capacity in expanding the capacity.
The Justice Design Group, founded in 1985, is a decorative illuminating stock manufacturer based in Los Angeles, which designs and produces high-quality, clean products for residential, hospitality and commercial environments. Justice Design offers a modular line of lighting products that artfully uses special materials with distinctive shapes and designs.
When the judicial design group has grown, the operations have become more complex. CMTC entered to analyze the business activity of Justice Design Group and to train employees in workflow and inventory optimization. The expert consultant at CMTC then trained the JDG factory staff in Lean and 5S Workplace organization techniques and helped the design of the judiciary, complexity and quality concerns to respect their business and ultimately improve their ability to cope with demand. In addition, the CMTC helped the newly organized Justice Design Group to improve efficiency and improve its punctual shipping rate (ots). With a more efficient place, justice design was able to reduce its 95,000 square meter facility and rent part of its building. In order to further improve the storage of Justice Design, CMTC carried out an ABC analysis and worked with the Justice Design Group to move their best-selling products that are closest to their order pickers and the shipping department. Overall, the various tailor -made training offered by CMTC has improved the skills, performance and morality of JDG employees.
As a result of her work with CMTC, Justice Design estimates a sales increase of $ 600,000, cost savings of $ 150,000, 3 jobs and 2 jobs. The judicial design also estimates a total investment of USD 225,000, including new products/processes of $ 25,000, equipment of $ 25,000, $ 75,000 and $ 100,000 in labor/employee training.
