As an editor in a celebrity style, I often see common design threads in the houses that we write about – and the wooden kitchen is one of those recurring. Last year I saw how countless celebrities have accepted this material in their own way – and many decided on the cabinet surfaces. In the case of Jimmy Fallon, however, he leaves his island to stay.
At a glance, the kitchen of the Tonight Show host does not appear excessively deterred. He painted his cupboards a dusty red -brown color while his walls are a classic, light white. The most important thing, however, is that its wooden kitchen island is unpainted.
When deciding to keep his island, Fallon contrasts the otherwise colorful, modern elements in his kitchen. In many ways, this is as powerful as an all-wood kitchen. Although the kitchen does not have wooden kitchen cupboards, the kitchen feels rustic and conceivating at the same time – and the lack of un -painted wood else makes it possible for the island to highlight the most.
Regardless of whether you follow the example of Fallon and only integrate wood through your island, you assure designers that this look has a longevity that survives the “kitchen trend” label.
'Bring nature inside, kitchens with wood and organic elements appeal through textures and grains. Artem Kropovinsky, designer (and founder of Arschight Studio), comments on warmth and character from these rooms. “The long life and easy maintenance of this kitchen will feel it forever and keep them inviting.”
If you choose to combine different tones and textures, as Fallon shows, Kropovinsky suggests combining her wood with other natural materials such as stone or metal. It is also important to take our kitchen lighting into account. Fallon has selected a system for hanging trailers – Pefect for zoning and work lighting (while you look ultra -stylish).
'Lighting emphasizes the charm of the wood. Daylight improves the warmth, while the artificial lighting emphasizes depth and texture, ”says Kropovinsky. Finally, the designer recommends spending time to plan the apparently smaller details. He suggests deciding natural planets (like this Wicker piece from Wayfair) and with wooden enemy utensils, similar to this knife set from Amazon.
This planter is the perfect accompaniment of a natural wooden kitchen and is the perfect basis for every inner tree. We love how the mixed materials make this basket visually appealing – and how the wood is absolutely timeless.

The ergonomic handle made of premium Fraxinusholz is natural, comfortable, light and does not slide easy, so it feels great to hold in your hand. This set looks perfect on a wooden island or unmounted cupboards.
This covered, pedestrian children has a perfect mix of round and curved details. It offers another way to follow Kropovinsky's advice and to offer another natural texture next to your wooden kitchen island or cabinet.
In addition, Kropovinsky is not alone in her observations. Paul Kropp, the co -founder of Bakes & Kropp, emphasizes the desire for this growing kitchen trend.
“We see a big change towards natural wood,” he says. “Rich walnuts and oaks add a beautiful layer of warmth that are looking for more homeowners.” For a modern look, he suggests contrasting natural wood against more refined materials – a balance that feels contemporary and timeless.
