Atlanta, GA. (Atlanta News First) – A SWAT team took a barricaded person in Dekalb County on Thursday afternoon.

Together with Swat, several police units reacted to the intersection of Lavista and Brockett routes in Tucker.

The Dekalb County (DKPD) police authority said a man who was not identified was apparently on the street with “box cutter” on the street.

The police said that the man was threatened to harm officials and then returned to his house, which led to the barricade situation.

“DKPD Swat was activated and reacted to the place. After several hours of attempt to communicate with him and negotiating with him, the suspect refused to leave the house unarmed,” said the police. “At this point, our Swat team used gas and entered the house in the house and took it into custody without further incidents.”

The police did not say whether the man files charges.
