They bought the house in the early Noughties and recently stretched out with the help of Aoife's sister, the interior designer Eilish Rickard. Diamonds are forever, says Shirley Bassey repeatedly in the song of the same name – and drives the point home that the sparkling stones are indestructible. And Dublin William Diamond did justice to his name. He took his furniture store one five massive furniture stores in Dublin-Aus the ashes of the crash in 2008 when he lost everything and built up a new, equally successful and customer-friendly type of furniture store.
On the way he won many awards, including the hotly contested National Retailers of 2024/2025. “I'm really proud of this award,” says William. “Everyone competes. We have won the best interior and furniture store in Ireland for three years in a row and this year the largest award won. Brown Thomas won it, Arnotts, the Guinness warehouse and now us.”
