Designing Today for Tomorrow: Transform Your Space with Style and Innovation
Realtime Robotics starts resolver to accelerate the design, the provision and optimization of robotic carnival cells
A revolutionary cloud-based solution reduces cycle times, lowers the costs and increases throughput for manufacturers
Boston & Detroit, May 12, 2025-(business wire)-Automate 2025 – Realtime Robotics, the leading provider of automated collision-free movement planning, control and optimization, started resolver today, a new cloud-based solution that drastically accelerates the design and provision of robotic care cells.
The planning of robot path is traditionally a complex, time -consuming and brittle process. Most work cells use several robots that need tedious manual workers to create interference zones and locking signals that ensure that there are no collisions during the manufacturing process. The manual validation of the mechanical design, the planning of robotic paths, the determination of sequencing to achieve optimal cycle time targets, and the define of these locks can need a team for a single project of more than 100,000 hours. Due to its complex nature, this often leads to errors in achieving cycle time and gives 10-15% of work cells expensive rework.
The resolver of real-time robotics works by selecting and testing potential solutions intelligently to create ten to thousands of times faster than any human programmer and quickly generate optimal, collision-free movement paths and locking signals. With Resolver, companies can automatically discover the fastest target order – the work basket design accelerates from months to days and at the same time reduces the technical efforts by 50%. Work cell cycle times are reduced and the overall throughput is increased.
Resolver gives users an affordable, cheeky, infinitely scalable robot simulation power that can be used to accelerate the process:
Create precise suggestions
Design optimal tools and devices that support cycle time goals
Creating optimal robot programs
Adaptation to AS-built deviations during commissioning
Evaluation and minimizing the effects of changes in product design in the manufacturing phase
“It is generally known that the future of the manufacturing industry is in robotics and automation. However, the future is slowly materialized due to the outdated, time-consuming and inefficient processes that are commonplace in the industry,” said Peter Howard, CEO of real-time robotics. “Only a few manufacturers have the time or the resources that are necessary to make real changes. We have developed resolver to help manufacturers improve their technology, programming and production processes- and increase the value from their current and future investments in robot.”
How solution works The Realtime Robotics resolver supports the path planning with any number of robots in any phase of the workflow and generates results in minutes. The solution requires minimal onboarding – and currently enables users to work directly within Siemens process. The support of other leading simulation platforms is introduced later in the year, so that teams can work directly within their preferred simulation tool.
“Resolver has the computing power to create better movement paths as a human programmer in both simple and complex work cells,” added Howard. “This is because Resolver searches the possibilities that are open to robotic arms, while people tend to stay in the possibilities of the human arm.”
Companies only have to upload the workcell information into a new project, configure their sequencing and conditions and run a run. In minutes, Resolver moves paths, including locks, produces with a superhuman cycle time. The longer resolver runs, the more options it offers the cycle time until the desired result is achieved. The paths and locks can then easily be imported into the simulation software for validation and operation.
“Resolver eliminates the most time -consuming aspects of industrial robotics – the programming and optimization of the robots. What used to reach months to achieve it can now be measured in hours,” added Marco Bizjak, head of the Competence Center for Digital Factory and Technical Manager, digitization manager. “We believe that this can be a real competitive advantage because we help our customers to create the most efficient and effective manufacturing processes.”
Additional uses Resolver also has extended functions, so that it is used at every point in the project life cycle, from the suggestion to work basket design. Resolver can accelerate the project schedule by generating collision -free movement paths and enabling more precise cycle time estimates. This gives companies the opportunity to beat the competition during the proposal. The design phase is also shortened by optimizing manual path planning in simple steps, automatically defines locking signals and minimizes mechanical design mortations.
Resolver can help with the ability to determine optimal movement plans and locks in the construction of the fixture, the accessibility validation, target sequencing and assignment of robot tasks. It can also be used to design the paths and locks for an entire production line from the start, which offers an organization a comprehensive view of its entire operation. The optimization can then be achieved at an early stage – which means that more time can be spent on less lengthy tasks.
Upcoming events Realtime Robotics will present Resolver at two upcoming industry conferences. Come by to see Resolver in action and learn how to help every organization improve its engineering and manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness:
