Unistellar is still taking pre-orders for its augmented reality (AR) Envision binoculars, which are the first smart binoculars that can aid in stargazing and outdoor exploration. They're offering $500 off the Unistellar Envision retail price, but this limited-time pre-order sale ends on November 2nd and there are fewer than 200 units left.
You can pre-order the Unistellar Envision AR smart binoculars for $999 at Unistellar.
The Unistellar Envision binoculars felt revolutionary when they were announced in 2024, but now that they're almost on the market, they're one step closer to reality. We managed to get a look at them before they release in October 2026.
The binoculars feature a red augmented reality (AR) overlay that can identify over 1000 astronomical targets and guide you through the night sky. It also has a database of over 1 million terrestrial destinations such as mountains and hiking trails, which can help you use these destinations on outdoor adventures.
We used them on a trip to the Hudson River in New York and found that the binoculars could easily identify the names and locations of astronomical targets. During the demonstration they even identified the local mountain, Mount Nebo, on the other side of the river. The target lock feature was also useful for helping others find your target by pointing in the direction of the overlay.
These binoculars have been in the works for a long time and there was a lot of excitement about the first intelligent binoculars for use in the night sky. Since the first batch of pre-orders had already sold out, Unistellar launched a second batch of 350 units, but it sold out quickly and currently shows less than 200 units remaining. This pre-order sale gets you $500 off the asking price, but it ends soon on November 2nd.
