Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “Freak Offs,” or sex parties, have been described as hoards of debauchery. They were under close scrutiny in the months following Combs' arrest. Partygoers and Combs' associates have spoken out about what they saw at these infamous events. A former Bad Boy employee claimed that Combs wanted a certain type of lighting at his parties.

For years, Combs hosted parties at his house. According to his former employee, he had special requirements for the way the events should be run.
“Every time the studio or a room is red, it's red because it feels like it's the right frequency for sex, love or sex,” an anonymous former Bad Boy employee said in the Peacock documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.
The employee talked about a party that took place in red-lit rooms.
“He looked at two of the girls, winked his eyes and pointed and said, 'Everyone come here.' And he went out and went to his room and didn't come out again for another 24 hours,” they said. “They were certainly minors.”

Combs also reportedly installed mirrors on almost every surface before his parties.
“Wherever you looked, you saw yourself reflected,” his former party planner told the New York Post. “You can imagine what it would look like if people were naked and having sex on the floor, on the couch, or wherever.”
It wasn't cheap to install so many mirrors. Their costs, together with those of other parties, led to a significant increase.
“They cost about $500,000 per party,” the planner said. “This applies to both the mainstream part and the sex party afterwards… Great food, expensive alcohol, dancers, acrobats, models.”
He talked about how he prepared for the parties
Combs himself has also spoken about how he prepared for his parties. He said his top priority was to find women to participate.
“This is what you have to do,” Diddy began, according to Vibe Magazine. “Women. Beautiful women, of course. Beautiful men, of course, for the ladies… You also have to give the ladies what they need. Take care of your women. You can't force the situation.”
He liked having a well-stocked bar and keeping the home as warm as possible.
“We need alcohol,” he said. “You need some water. I don't know if the guys noticed, but a lot of ladies drink water at parties. So if you don't have what they need, they will leave. I have to keep them there. You need locks on the doors… It's a little kinky, but, you know… rock with me. You need a lot of heat. Don't have air conditioning. Heat affects the alcohol and it also affects…you know, making everyone feel a little more comfortable and loose. It makes a nice little sweat.”
