St. Louis Designer Partner for Breathtaking Kitchen Redesign

The homeowner Debra Bevard had observed her kitchen and dining area for a conversion in the house in the house in the house in the house more than a decade ago. It felt closed from the rest of the first floor and the dining room was not busy. Only a few people who gathered in the kitchen did it overcrowded and asked Bevard's family to spin around each other during the meal. “Everyone hangs around in the kitchen. Bevard connected himself to Wendy Kuhn, Karr Bicks Senior Kitchen and Bath Designer, and they crashed from each other. They found similarities in which their personal interior design styles overlapped and their wish to create a space that would work efficiently and beautifully in the coming years. Bevard has 1749 designs and specializes in timeless decorative and optimized rooms. “I like the classic look – something that will pass the test of the time,” says Bevard.

While Kuhn and Bevard together with piloted, Karr Bick's construction team played a key role in tearing off the wall, which shared the kitchen from the dining room and at the same time maintained the essential lines behind the reach and range. Bevard admits that she tried to imagine how the range would stand out in a good way, but she remembers that she felt “ecstatic” to see the end product. It is also proud of how the quartzit-slab backplash and the way in which the tile on the surrounding walls complements it.

“The tile tiles are the whole kitchen together,” says Kuhn. “DEBRA and I thought long after the color selection for the cupboards. The three colors of the cupboards – the white, wooden tone and the charcoal – everything was a bit risky. Pull these tidal bones, Calacatta marble tiles to the wall, bring all three colors together and help to make it meaningful.”

Although both designers love a bright, white kitchen, they agree that this combination makes the space more interesting and unique. Another possibility of how Bevard made this kitchen made her own was to obtain furniture from various manufacturers that she works for her own customers for projects. “I have a few lighting companies that I love and these followers … I always came back to them,” she says. Bevard balanced the statement lighting bodies with more subtle wall lights, added rattan bar stool and added window tones to further diversify the textures in the room.

The updated flow of the kitchen leads to a dining table near your home bar, which offers proper storage for fine alcohol and glassware as well as home office supplies. “This was a design challenge between us,” says Kuhn. “Debra wanted this bar to be able to act both as a bar and as a place where she could sit and work with her laptop. The middle section of these cupboards actually opens so that it can turn a chair and sit there. … The drawer is for her files and work, but you would never know.”

A formal home office is available on the upper floor, but Bevard confesses to bring work to the kitchen or dining area to stay close to her family. “I love access. We have a dog and we have to let it out all day. The work in the kitchen enables me to be in the mix of everything, especially when the children are at home,” she explains.

“This was a unique experience, probably for both of us,” reflects Kuhn. “[Bevard] is very visual. She was able to imagine exactly what the design for the layout would look like. And she was definitely instructed in all the final details and put her stamp on the style of her kitchen. “
