Lights? Check. Sunglasses? Check. A fully integrated intelligent automation and control system that ties everything together? Absolutely. When developing a serene master suite for a home in Huntsville, Alabama, Mozaic Smart Technology Design chose a very sophisticated solution using blackout curtains to transform the room's serene, cream-colored decor into the ultimate sanctuary for the homeowner's senses.
It's this commitment to fitting in with the interior design that helped the project stand out for the client, noted Mozaic's Michael Johnson.
“While the client was not challenging in the traditional sense – in fact, they were a pleasure to work with – they were intricately involved in every design detail,” he said.
“This involvement required careful consideration in the color selection of shades to ensure that the chosen neutral palette perfectly complemented the space without being too warm or too cool.”
Clean Integrations Create a Tranquil Primary Suite for Huntsville Home
During the project, the biggest challenge was accurately placing the wiring for hardwired blinds, especially given the thin window muntins. This required great attention to detail to ensure the installation achieved the desired aesthetic result.
The Lutron shades blend into the neutral color palette of the room and blend effortlessly into the design. These Josh.ai-synced shades enable precise scene settings and automatic sunrise and sunset adjustments, providing a seamless balance between natural and artificial light.
“This integration [with Josh.ai and Lutron] enables both scene control and automatic adjustments during sunrise and sunset hours, allowing for effortless control of natural light,” Johnson explained.
“By combining Lutron Shades with Josh AI control, [we] have created a serene master suite that is both technologically advanced and aesthetically sophisticated.”
The shades complement the room's lighting control system, allowing the customer precise control over natural and artificial light. Whether via touch control or voice command, the homeowner has complete control over the atmosphere and can adapt the room precisely to any mood and time of day.
