The Porsche color palette combines several automotive stories
The color palette of the newly designed Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7RS agrees with the previous projects by Sean Wotherspoon, including a collaboration in a Taykan in 2022. The use of these historical colors enables a mixture of various automotive identities.

Each car plate was individually painted for a detailed look
Each panel on the car was individually painted and reflected a detailed accuracy that was present in the past work of Wotherspoon. This approach is reminiscent of his Harlequin golf, which he sees as a significant influence. The inspiration is evident in the Karera of the Karera, with the selected tones selected in order to be aligned with the original RS silhouette.

The interior of the car has a unique mix of materials
The interior of the car has a different texture topic. Wotherpoon laid out the cabin with Vintage Levis Denim, Cord and Flanell, which comes from clothing from the 1960s. The dashboard consists of cork, a material that was left of its previous Taycan project and connects the interior with a modern Porsche element.

Inner materials were selected for their texture and history
The selection of the materials for the interior was based on both their visual and historical properties. The denim in the driver's seat was selected, for example, because of its specific wear pattern. The pockets of functional levi on the door cards and a patchwork feed in the front trunk extend the topic of reuse and repair of the project.

New design platform for Wotherspoon
The redesign of the 2.7RS offered a new platform for the unique design approach from Wotherspoon. The project was carried out with the support of the creative agency of Spot and Product Designer Duncan Bonar. Wotherspoon admitted that working with the car, an estimated model in Porsche's story, was both a challenge and an opportunity.
