Some materials are so fascinating, so strikingly beautiful that they can bring a feeling of awe, a miracle about the abilities of the natural world. A particularly effective example of this is Rosso Levanto Marble.
Some people love light, airy rooms. All white walls and crunchy lines, Carrara marble and light oak floors. Others, like me, are attracted to the darker side of the coin. Cozy, lush rooms, rooms with a cave -like quality. I recently noticed that more and more designers are slowly moving to the dark side – where I wait for them with open arms.
With this shift, a sudden hug of a kind of marble came, which apparently captures the essence of this design style. Rosso Levanto is bursting luxury in a rich, enchanting way. The deep chestnut brown color has almost hypnotized, which is injected with contrasting bright white vein. Despite its cool, hard texture, the stone appears, in contrast to other varieties of marble, pleasantly warm and soft.
Whether in a kitchen or in a living room, this is a material that certainly increases your home and brings a deep opulent and extravagant feeling. One of our preferred ways to use it is in the modest bathroom. This material transforms your toilet, your powder room or your bathroom from a room with pure functionality to a place with absolute aesthetic excellence.
What is Rosso Levanto?

Rosso Levanto, also known as pink Levanto, is a deep red, almost chestnut brown stone, which is known for its characteristic white ash. This stone gets its name from its place of origin and can be found in Liguria, Italy, most clearly in the municipality of Levanto, a small town by the sea north of the Cinque Terra.
Sally Cutchie from Artisans of Devices explains: “Rosso Levanto is all about depth and drama. The rich, wine-red base and bold white vein gives him a presence that softer murmurs simply do not have. It is a stone with the cultural heritage that in Italy became a stone with a cultural heritage, and it is with a creator with a modern design, in which Modern design, which can be designed with a modern, with a modern one.
The strain was used to decorate wasteful buildings since the Roman Empire, and its attractiveness has not dropped since then. Buildings of political and religious importance were equally Rosso Levanto -pillars and details, which their respective power meant by the luxurious appearance of the stone. “Rosso Levanto is a very striking and elegant marble with its color and pattern,” added Mehmet Yücebaşoğlu.
This stone is also loved because of its visual attraction, but also celebrated for its durability and adaptability. It is particularly appreciated for its high gloss potential because it reacts well to polishing. These are these characteristics that make the stone so well suited for areas such as bathrooms and kitchens in which a lot of use is probably met. In contrast to more sensitive stones, Rosso Levanto can easily withstand daily wear without dampening the stones.
Why do designers love Rosso Levanto?
“Since I prefer subtle and sound-on-tone rooms, I think it works best with colors near his own. Alternatively, it can be used in a very bright room alone,” says Mehmet.

“I love that Rosso Levanto is not apologetically,” says Ryan Saghian, says interior design. With such a deep, lively tone of red, this is not a stone that fades into the background, but an outstanding function.
“It has such a commanding presence – it is not a background player; it is the star,” he continues. “It is incredibly chicking in the way its deep red tones contrast to cracking white or warm metals. It is a stone that feels both historically and contemporary, effortlessly made of design.”
Despite his deep history in interior design, Rosso Levanto looks just as natural in a modern bathroom as in a Roman cathedral. It offers a uniquely complex feeling of depth for a room and only becomes more beautiful over time.
Sally adds: “We love how it catches the light and how the veins move over the surface like brush strokes like brush strokes.
In toilets and powder rooms, this stone offers an inviting warmth, which makes the room feel comfortable and yet is striking. Joanna Laven from the La -Wahl studio says: “What I find particularly fascinating about Rosso Levanto is his ability to leave a remarkable impression. It embodies a sophisticated aesthetics and is also fascinatingly clear. The rich tones of the stone create a feeling of warmth and elegance and create an inviting atmosphere.
What is different from other stones?

While Rosso Levanto may look similar to other stones such as Rosso Francia or imperial marble, it has its own characteristics that distinguish it from these other varieties. “In contrast to some marbles that have a softer, uniform look, Rosso Levanto has an intense depth that feels courageous and moody and at the same time maintains a sophisticated elegance,” says Ryan, “it also has a denser composition compared to some other marbles that helps with high traffic areas.”
While some marbles have an extremely sensitive composition, the permanent nature of Rosso Levanto is much more suitable for decorating bathrooms. In addition, due to the strong contrast between marble and veiling, it also offers a dramatic visual effect.
Sally says: “Rosso Levanto drops under natural stones due to his expressive and elegant color. The striking contrast between the deep wine red and the sensitive white veins creates a visual interest that is difficult to achieve. This unique interplay of colors not only adds depth, but also gives a sense of luxury a sense of luxury to create a prayer scouting.
This feeling of luxury has been with the stone since the Roman period and still creates the same effect today, which makes it perfect for a calm luxury bathroom. Joanna agrees and adds: “Rosso Levanto is noticeable due to its expressive and elegant color under natural stones. The striking contrast between the deep wine red and the sensitive white veins creates a visual interest that is difficult to achieve. This unique interplay of colors does not only complement that it uses a sense of design.
How to design a bathroom with Rosso Levanto
“It's not a stone that you see everywhere, which makes it even more special,” says Ryan

Now you have to deal with the stone. It is time to think about the most effective ways to integrate this material into your bathroom layout. “I love to use Rosso Levanto for statement pieces,” says Ryan. “It works wonderfully in high-ramic rooms, especially in combination with polished brass or bronze bronze hardware. It is also breathtaking in powder rooms, where it creates an intimate jewel box effect. The wealth of the stone even increases the smallest rooms, which means that it feels luxurious and intended.”
When designing a smaller powder room in a project in La, Ryan agreed with the Rosso Levanto sink with an equally moody, sensual color scheme. He says: “For this project I wanted a stone that felt rich, sensual and timeless. Rosso Levanto immediately increases a room with its depth and movement. It brings warmth and sophistication and is still unexpected – it is not a stone that you can see everywhere what does something special.”
If you correspond to the marble and the color wetting of the room, it enables a deeply sensual, cozy atmosphere, the selection of contrasting colors and materials and ensures an equally effective look.
As Joanna says: “We love to combine Rosso Levanto with lighter marbles like Bardiglio, which contributes to a cooler pallet, or Bianco Perlino for a warmer feeling. This next to each other not only emphasizes Rosso Levantos vibrant colors, but also creates a harmonious balance in the entire design.

With such an innocent material, it is important to think about how the other colors that you put in your design interact with the stone. “I love Rosso Levanto with warm neutral such as camel and taupe, Deep Forest Greens and Tinky Schwarzen for an atmospheric contrast,” says Ryan.
He continues: “It also looks incredible against crispy white walls or combined with soft, butter -like creams for a more toner, more luxurious feeling. If it is used with brass or antique bronze, it takes on a vintage European elegance while it gives it with chrome or nickel.
Or Sally suggests: “Rosso Levanto fits wonderfully with deep green and soft pink for a warm, layered look. If you want contrast, it feels fresh and modern. Combine it with terracotta, tobacco or rich wood.”
In a bathroom, old bronze hardware gives a beautiful, elegant note that perfectly complements Rosso Levanto's wealth.
We love this stone not only for its striking appearance, but also for its robust durability and ability to adapt to different color schemes. However, if you prefer a lighter, white marble bath, there are many options for you. Or maybe you are better off with a marble paralterative so that you can save some money without having to sacrifice the style.
