

Text description provided by the architects. The Willamette Pool House is located on a bluff above the Willamette River in Newberg, Oregon, and offers a comprehensive view of and down. In the west of the main building of the accommodation, this outbuilding is supported the new pool and the new spa with a lounge, a kitchenette, a changing room, a steam shower, a bathroom and a pool equipment room. Stacking of sliding sliding doors, which are seamlessly equipped with a covered terrace with a dining area and a kitchen outdoors.




The range of materials reflects and complements the main house and contains natural plaster walls and dark metal cladding. A ceiling of locally obtained Oregon White oak transmits to sun protection with metal slats outside, whereby the continuity is maintained between inside and outside. The tiled walls of the steam showers and the custom -made concrete sink with natural light flood upside lights and improve space with warmth and brightness.

The project bridges indoors and outdoor areas and celebrates the natural beauty of the Pacific northwest and the surrounding area in which it is located, while the border blurred between nature and living space.
